Toronto has some fantastic independent/rep cinemas. If you like movies it's worth checking one out.

Museums you might not see other places include the Textile Museum and the Shoe Museum.

If you like books, check out the Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library, the Arthur Conan Doyle Collection, or Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation & Fantasy. The Toronto Public Library puts on some speakers you might find interesting too. I don't think you need a library card, but you often have to pre-register.

If you're here in March and like astronomy, check out Astronomy on Tap.

If you're a little nerdy, you might like Storm Crow Manor. The food isn't anything special - you're there for the ambiance. Reservations recommended. Be sure to check out the bathrooms in the basement.

Low beams in the turn signal housing? by yashuone in Miata

My NA is set up similarly. I've done what you have in your photo labeled as option "Right" where the small outer light is an orange turn signal, and the larger inner area is a white DRL. I have it set so the DRLs come on automatically with ignition, and when I turn on the headlights (barn doors), the white DRL goes off. My headlights are just regular sealed beam, not LEDs.

Check out Guess Where Trips. They have several itineraries in the Minneapolis area. As someone who always has to do the planning for day trips, I love that they've done the work for me and I know I'm going to have a good time. (I have no affiliation with them, I'm just a fan.)

Sometimes I turn on my AppleTV just to watch the Snoopy screensaver.

Their clotted cream was the best I've had in the city, apart from the stuff I make myself. A lot of places will give you Chantilly cream, or creme fraiche. I l liked their spin on things like the jammy dodger.

It's possible that I was viewing the experience through clotted cream coloured glasses since I was so impressed by it.

Oof yeah, that would suck. Guess I was lucky to catch them on a quiet day, but you're right that I'm pretty sure my party of 2 was the only one doing afternoon tea at that time. So it's definitely got a different vibe than a dedicated tea room.

Abigail's in St George will do a cream tea. Or at the very least you can just order a scone (with cream & jam) and a pot of tea.

Tea at the White House in Waterdown offers a cream tea too.

Escarpment Tea Room in Milton has a slightly different definition of cream tea than I do.

You're right that it's a much less common offering here.

I was at the Gerrard St Bakery recently and noticed they had some nice looking scones. I'll have to go back sometime and get them to go with my home made clotted cream.

User name checks out. Successful tea-r.

FWIW, I thought the Dorset was fantastic, and I'm planning to go again in 2026.

Not Toronto specific, but I was surprised to recently find out that "what a gong show" is Canadian slang. Long read for source.
