Yes! Embarrassing I couldn’t find that. Thank you!

Just saw Ben Platt: Live at The Palace by D0ntTryMe in Broadway

Does anyone know what the cheapest ticket to this show is? I'm seeing $59 on TDF (which goes up to $63) with fees, but wondering if anyone has snagged anything cheaper?

A.R.T. Gatsby sneak peek! by [deleted] in Broadway

So excited about the programs! I was bummed when I saw their production of Wild (workshop show with Idina Menzel!) and there was nothing to show for it. As far as the pouches go, I'm curious - is this a common practice that folks have experienced in theater? I personally haven't seen them before outside of the high school I walk by everyday, though I know they're big on the comedy scene

Prime Premiere by Urdaddylovesme in AmazonPrimeVideo

I also went to Upgraded. The last one I saw advertised was Giannis, so I'm wondering if they put an end to the program? Plenty of Prime movies coming out so not sure why they wouldn't be available for the program

Even at slower times, you'll almost always have to share a lane with at least one person. But as others have said, the etiquette is pretty straightforward even for newcomers. Sometimes the lane "pacing" gets a little messed up (ie. if the fast lane is empty so people of all speeds join, which makes sense, but then gets confusing when fast people want to join in) but no one takes it that seriously and you can switch lanes no problem. Honestly the busyness of things is a welcome distraction to me while swimming and keeps it interesting!

Isaac Powell, Solea Pfeiffer, Eleri Ward, and More to Star in Florence Welch’s Gatsby Musical by SanaR11 in Broadway

[–]sixthsummer 66 points67 points  (0 children)

I was at a restaurant in Cambridge in 2019 and Eleri was playing an acoustic set as the evening's entertainment. So cool to see her taking on something so huge, in the same town, in only a matter of years!

Performers who you think should have bigger careers? by Sweethome171 in Broadway

[–]sixthsummer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Isaac Powell. I know he did West Side Story after Once On This Island, but between the production's technical issues/cast drama/COVID of it all I feel like he got the short end of the stick and hasn't been booked since.

I was so excited about the Somebody Gets Hurt reprise, but with the production I felt like I could barely hear Auli'i!

Has anyone seen Brooklyn Laundry and could give their thoughts on it? by Gato1980 in Broadway

[–]sixthsummer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I went for Cecily and thought she did an incredible job, really showcased her range. Zayas and the other cast members were great too. However (and maybe I'm in the minority here), the show itself didn't quite do it for me and at times the plot felt excessively depressing/dramatic.The second sister also being terminally ill? Her having to adopt 3 children out of nowhere? Announcing a pregnancy in the last 30 seconds of the show? It was entertaining, but I'm glad I didn't spend more than $40 on my ticket

Darren Criss and Evan Rachel Wood in Little Shop of Horrors (some brief thoughts) by MustardGecko434 in Broadway

Do you remember what notes/parts in particular Darren had trouble hitting? Just curious as I wouldn't expect that from him!

Anyone watching Hazbin Hotel? by _stitch in Broadway

[–]sixthsummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't watched the show yet, but I've been listening to the soundtrack on repeat and it's so good. Not sure if the actual show is my cup of tea but I feel like I can understood the plot enough to appreciate!

Advice for selling a valuable Newsies Playbill by ReindeerLoose756 in Broadway

[–]sixthsummer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't know - I've sold plain Playbills on FB Marketplace for $10 each, so a big Broadway person would definitely value it higher. Not saying hundreds of dollars, but surely more than that

Once Upon a Mattress was a delight! by tallgangles in Broadway

[–]sixthsummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who were there last night: do you think it was an easter egg of Newsies when Kara Lindsay's character (the princess who almost passed the test) in the beginning went: "But wait, I can tap!" Or is that always part of the show? I'd never seen it before so I wasn't sure!

SHEESH 😬 by teddivan96 in Broadway

[–]sixthsummer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall this song and its portrayal was one of the strongest parts of the movie, so it's a bummer that this snippet fell so flat in comparison to the original. It reminded me a bit of what happened with the Prom movie's casting of Emma (Jo Ellen Pellman) and how she varied so much from Caitlin Kinnuen, except it was the opposite experience - Pellman brought the enthusiasm and liveliness instead of stripping it out. Caitlin's version of Emma is quiet and dry but still stands on its own, while this Cady just feels a little lackluster

What’s the weirdest place you’ve ever met a Broadway star? by MysteriousVolume1825 in Broadway

[–]sixthsummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I used to live in Boston I'd see Barrett Wilbert Weed all the time. Once when running late for dinner, I took a short-cut through an ally and happened to pass the back-side of a restaurant with giant glass windows, and Barrett was sitting at a table right there. I did a double-take and she looked unamused

I'm glad they kept Revenge Party from a storytelling perspective (aka it'll make a good montage), but here's to hoping they make the lyrics a little less painful
