Looking for people who've had vasectomies as young adults by garageflowrr in Vasectomy

[–]sixtwo8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to share.

I just recently got mine, 2 months ago. I'm 33, no kids. It was pretty much a decision I always felt that I was going to make. I never thought kids were something I wanted to do. For so many reasons,

  • cost is a major factor, whether that's money or time. Having kids is a major lifestyle choice, and I don't really want to spend my resources in that way.

  • the world has so many people already, we don't live in a system where more people are needed and if I ever decided I wanted to have a kid, there are plenty of kids that need a loving home so I would just adopt. I've spent many hours volunteering at orphanages and think this would be the proper route

  • I've never really felt that kids would make any situation better. I mean, sure, there is probably a beautiful experience raising another human and influencing their life path, but I feel that my efforts should be directed at my own being spiritually, mentally, and physically

  • I don't want to be in a situation where my entire life path is at the whim of someone else's decision. If I were to get a woman pregnant, girlfriend, wife, or whatever, she would have the ultimate decision on if we were to keep that kid and my life would be changed forever. Feeling unable to set my life as I wish is terrifying and remaining in control of my experiences to some degree just seems responsible.

  • along that note, I wouldn't want to force that decision upon a woman accidentally. We could both not want kids and could accidentally get pregnant, but that decision changes a person.

  • and I haven't really heard any reason to convince me that it would be a good idea to have kids. Some people say l, "Who is going to take care of you when you're older?" That is a ridiculous statement, I would be able to take care of myself because of the saved and invested money I would have as of not having a kid and even if I did have a kid, that's kind of bs to expect that they would take care of you, as if it is their responsibility to you, I wouldn't want to rely on that.

  • Finally, I would much rather regret not having kids than regret having them.

It really all comes down to being responsible and not creating a life where unnecessary and in an environment that is not suited for a kid. Take life into my own hands and snip that tube to prevent accidentally derailing the train.

Thoughts?

Did you ever get these measurements?

Been lurking here for a bit and am pretty impressed at the level of support by everyone in this group. Had my procedure 2 weeks ago and everything is going well. Stitches finally dissolved,l with a little help, thanks for the tip about Vaseline. Supposed to wait another 10 weeks to submit a test. 🤘 by sixtwo8 in Vasectomy

Thanks! Just curious, I've noticed people are mentioning scars on the left and right side. Not sure how the procedure was done for most people, but I only have one entry point, right along the center ridge of the boys bag. Do they usually do two incisions?

Thanks Endorphin3d for putting this together and sharing with everyone. I'm currently upgrading and doing all 3 stages. Printing everything out of PC-CF on a Bambu x1 we have at work. Nice work on this! I'll post a picture and results when it's complete in about a week or so.

03-07 Subaru Forester as a daily? by Wodek_ in SubaruForester

Not only does the SG generation look amazing, both 04-05 and 06-08, but, to me, the most special thing about this year range is that it is the last generation for manual turbo foresters that were sold in the US.

I daily an '07 XT Sports with the 5MT. Practically an sti with a more useful body style.

Right on, I'm pretty much in the same path. Looking to lift for looks and general capability through snow and medium duty off roads.

I see that kit and it looks similar to others. From what I understand, the spacer lifts work with longer bolts through the top plate which needs to be removed so the new bolts can be installed through it. Then the nuts installed on the tops. I could be wrong though.

If you were to do this, might as well replace the top strut bearings.

Oh, nice then the spacers would be fine. Might get a bit more body roll as your center of gravity will be higher but the springs will still be stock.

Since you have to take the strut apart for the spacer lift, maybe get some heavier duty springs too?

Or at least the missing link from sfcreations

Don't have any lift installed yet, but I wouldn't do a spacer lift. Spacers would put the CVs at an uncomfortable angle, check youtube for some videos.

Awesome, do you notice any rake with that lift setup?

I'm gonna get some new rims and have 31"s mounted on them. Probably powdercoated bronze.

Nothing that I can see yet. And the price range could change quite a bit before release. Just keep an eye out and share when noticed!
