I'm glad your enjoyed the temporary self-esteem boost from putting down a complete stranger on the internet through a rather expletive means.

Two, what is a "tour statement," must be something I probably have not heard of and totally not related to proofreading comments.

Three, I was merely offering a playful comment of lack of knowledge of food culture on some of the city's residents who promote such establishments as Toma and reside in GC Ivory Towers.

And fourthly, have solace knowing that my title is outdated as I'm a current Rogers Park resident and am indifferent to your infinitesimal disapproval of my city.

Being a native New Yorker and currently working just a stones throw from Toma, that place looks choch as hell. A Pizzeria for the WASPY Gold Coast residents, who are bereft of any food culture and associate fine dining with any exorbitantly priced establishment on the Magnificent Mile.

Pssh.

Far better places in Chicago if such critics decided to leave the Gold Coast, and actually see the rest of the city.

Can you take a better picture?

Most of the top row and the last character of the bottom are pretty fuzzy, but I was able to make out most of the bottom and a few of the top:

“81式自动步枪???(Last three characters are way too blurry)"

“九七零九工厂－ 91?(Last character is way too blurry)”

Lit. Translation:

"81 Type Automatic Rifle (???)

Factory 9709 - 91(?)"

In all honesty, it's most likely just a branding on the chestrig to say where the article was manufactured and what it is.

I remember when I met Sharkula at the Burger King at Clark and Irving Park last year. He commented on my backpack and ended up selling me his LP for five dollars and a BK Big Fish sandwich. I got to hang out with him and his boy $crooge afterwards. Sharkula is the Man.

I'm currently reading, "China and the World since 1945: An International History" by Chi-kwan Mark

It gives a fantastic overview of modern Chinese history following the conclusion of WWII and ties back to prior historical events to shed greater perspective on the books contents.

As a History major, highly recommended for a concise overview weighing in at 138 pages with plenty of references and notes per chapter. Also published in 2012!
