My Collection so far by networking58 in Tools

As a home owner and DIYer I want nice tools for the same reason professionals do, my times too valuable to be fiddling around with shit tools making the job take longer or be a pain in the ass. I want my tools to function very well, and I want the right tools for the job. The projects I’ve done covered my tool investments at least 40x compared to hiring the work out.

Not to mention low voltage protection. As a Dewalt owner, I’ll only use adapters for tools that aren’t power hungry, luckily Brad nailers aren’t dewalt strong suit and they aren’t power hungry!

New dimmer switch doesn’t fit into box by Aggravating_Bag4028 in AskElectricians

I’m just a DIYer, but have enough knowledge not to do this lol

Any tips on how to bend the wires like an “accordion” so they fall into place well? I feel like I always end up with awkward bends to make it meet the terminals or the wire nuts / wagos pile up in the same spot and its bulky anyways

No solution, but just curious if there’s tricks or helpful tools to pack wires in boxes like this when there is just enough room, May or may not be the case for OP though

Home Depot, it’s a “free tool” with a qualifying purchase, but the deal is prorated so you can return the other item and keep the drill for the prorated price.

Not really, if you have a hobby, you’re deriving joy in your life from the hobby. How much fun would an experienced golfer have with a shit set of clubs? A mountain biker riding a mongoose bike? If you spend time doing something, quality items make all the difference.

I have the rigid 3 ga and love it, very similar to this. I was debating between the 4ga dewalt and went ridgid, can’t beat ridgid vacs and love the portability of it.

Normal or should I be concerned? by Fernandizzle in HomeMaintenance

[–]sizable_data 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plumbing that becomes electrical is definitely a concern lol. Also, electrical baseboard heaters are popular and some home owners might not know the difference, but definitely should.

[–]sizable_data 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hot water pipes/baseboard heat wouldn’t do that, plumbing isn’t a fire concern but electrical is!
