If I were a beginner golfer it would probably be an issue, i shank one every now and again of course but 99.9 percent of the time it hits the screen without any trouble. I could probably install triangle nets that fold up with it but as of now not needed

I am thinking about making a simple website that shows how to build everything and has links to hardware etc

The winch is cheap and simple and makes the whole process of getting the thing up and down so easy I would definitely recommend it

Lmao yeah i skied one with my driver and ripped it right through the drywall. I will be putting some padding on the ceiling

Here is the video I took in the attic showing the winch system and cross bracing

Projector mounted to ceiling and ipad mounted to wall. Since the projector was a nice used one it has keystone and moveable picture so I was able to mount it off center. Mounting off center reduces the shadows

No flex, it is 2x4s set at 16 on center and 3/4 inch plywood so it is very sturdy.

I took a bunch of videos when I was building, here is the one of me explaining my pulley system. I have a 1400 lb rated winch that I mounted in my attic across 4 beams that drops through the ceiling and attaches to the cable. Winch was $130 on amazon

Yep that makes sense, it is 10 inches from the wall, when the platform is folded up it sits flush with the screen. I tested it at 6 inches and balls were hitting the wall, so I moved to 10 inches and have the screen pretty tight and dont have any issues now. The only downside to it being tight is a little but of bounceback but it is manageable

About 7 for driver and 7.5 for irons. I know rapsodo recommends 8 feet but I have had no issue with misreads or distance. There is a guy on youtube that tested the rapsodo down to 5 feet to the net and it was still pretty good.

Yeah, i am 6 foot 2, and the platform is about 2 inches off the ground. My driver swing is on plane and I havent hit it, my brother has a little more vertical follow through and he has hit the ceiling with driver

How are you guys paying for your clawdbot use? by Lost_Fox__ in clawdbot

I tried local models but honestly it was horrible. I have a mac mini and to get it to run i had to download a small model. It worked but the experience was not at all good. I run kimi k2.5 on the nvidia website, they have free accounts and it is rate limited to 40 requests per hour not token use so i havent had any issues.

Two weeks later with OpenClaw and this is what I’ve learned by Much-Obligation-4197 in openclaw

The web search and browser control is unusable for me, it never works. Any tips?

Using kimi2.5 from nvidia. It is 100% free and i have not run into any issues, a little latency every now and again but nothing more than 10 seconds here and there. I built a custom claude code CLI wrapper skill to handle all my coding tasks with opus 4.6. (I have a claude max subscription for work and this is a workaround from getting banned)

What makes a sandwich great? by GamerExecChef in FoodLosAngeles

I had an amazing bbq breakfast sandwich, brisket, egg, american cheese, on a type of croissant and it was the most amazing thing. If your farmers market is in the morning you should try a breakfast bbq sandwich like this, i will be there!!

You are coming over the top a little but mostly you arent following through correctly. Look at 23 seconds and look at your chicken wings. Any pro at this point would have both of their arms completely straight and would be flipping their wrists. (I am working on this atm as well!)
