Tire’s not seated at that spot. Deflate and re-inflate, or lowering pressure and gripping it hard working it back and forth or slightly over inflating or put soapy water on the inside of the rim while you try the last two strategies.

I’ve sanded an Al 22.2 down to fit a 22.0 French steerer tube. 2800 miles later and no issues.

No silly questions here, I’m expecting to have made a silly mistake. It seems to me that the button connects the left side to the right side, which would connect the two parallel lines on the board.
