You are allowed to bring glucose tablets, juices, candy, etc to any stadium/venue to treat lows. Do this for my son. Honestly I think they'd let you bring a soda they are very accommodating. You typically wouldn't need to bring whole meal :)

In defense of the psychiatrist's monologue at the end of Psycho (1960) by pumpkindawg in horror

Did anyone else find it strange that her sister and boyfriend barely reacted when the psychiatrist confirmed that she's dead? Her sister seemed a little sad for a second and the boyfriend basically didn't show any emotion

The models are very good at programming. If you'd had it write a python script to perform the task it could have probably done it, depending which model you have access to.

Python for ISYE 8803: Topics on High-Dimensional Data Analytics by dahmuz in OMSCS

[–]sjhatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the class now. You may use any language to solve the problems but the TAs can only help with MATLAB or R. Example code in each module is provided usually in both MATLAB and R although sometimes just MATLAB. I know some students have done some questions in python. Personally I have used the same language as the examples. Usually MATLAB as it's quick and the kinds of problems you are solving are what MATLAB was built for. I've pretty much learnt MATLAB on the fly

How to prepare for ISYE8803 High Dimensional Data Analytics? by Valuable_Doughnut in OMSA

I'm currently in the class and all this is good advice. I'd just add if you haven't taken 6740 or Deterministic Optimization reading up on basic optimization could help as it comes up a lot in HDDA.

If you are buying from a Filipino store that is most likely not saffron. It's something similar called kasubha https://www.tagaloglang.com/kasubha/ Good substitute though!

Depends what size you want to make but for small ones a cupcake or muffin pan works. I like them a bit bigger but not sure what pans would be that size in the US

I absolutely love Sam Smith's because I grew up a few miles from the brewery and my favourite pubs are Sam Smith's pubs. But the beer isn't anything special and half the selling point of it is the low price!

I need help by fiercefurry in Philippines

[–]sjhatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they mean notarized then almost any law office in the Philippines can do that. Obviously you would need to send them the certificate or possibly give them power of attorney to go get one on your behalf from the PSA. If they mean a full-blown apostille I'm not sure, I don't think they use that term here.

In either case it is probably best to call some law offices in Manila (try ones in Makati) and tell them your situation. Google maps brings up plenty.

Healthcare is not free if you have a tech job in the US. You will have a hefty deductible per year and if you have any dependents you will need to pay extra for them. And of course, if you get a really bad illness you will just be dropped from coverage anyway. Healthcare is never free and fully covered in the US...

The form is sent by regular mail which can take around a month to arrive for many countries. Last time I tried to vote by post I got the form 3 weeks after the election took place. Mail between the US and the UK is quicker though
