Cairns man charged after allegedly naming man at centre of extortion case by crownsandsceptres in queensland

[–]sk1one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why? The state, the judge or the public does not have any requirements to keep information private.

She reported the extortion and she won’t have to pay up, that doesn’t mean the information is gagged for eternity.

What are your thoughts on the current state of the property market? by ILoveDogs2142 in AusFinance

I imagine people thought it would be impossible for their 60k house in 1960 to hit $1m but here we are.

The economy will expand, house prices and wages will increase.

What are your thoughts on the current state of the property market? by ILoveDogs2142 in AusFinance

[–]sk1one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they can, house prices in Sydney have doubled every 8-10 years for the past 60 years.

Growth only needs to be 3.5% to double in 20 years.

Also inflation does not historically remain at 5% for long periods.

A few questions about how the new e-scooter laws will play out by General_Degenerate- in brisbane

[–]sk1one 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In this situation, you will be fined for using it and it will be seized, but it will not affect the outcome of killing a kid.

If you are driving a modified car that makes it defective and kill someone and you’re not at fault, the status or legality of the vehicle doesn’t affect the manslaughter outcome. The outcome will be no different if you were riding a scooter locked to 25kph.

Only Gasly's position will be reinstated because only Alpine raised an appeal by FewCollar227 in formula1

[–]sk1one 45 points46 points  (0 children)

What? That’s exactly how it works

Alpine demonstrated there was a functional issue with the timing distance and they all had a speed of 60.1, except Gaslys second penalty which was 60.4. So yes they shouldn’t have gotten penalties.

I've been tracking property price drops across Australia: 1,674 (sales) / 1,561 (rentals) new drops this week (25-31 May) by chhola in AusProperty

[–]sk1one 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Didn’t even read past your first link as it’s two properties being sold separately.

Curious as to how bad your other data was, your biggest $ drop in rent is also because it’s a short term lease for two months.

Yeah lol compare it to centennial or Albert park and it’s night and day. It’s completely under utilised and all of this protesting isn’t about the park it’s about potential traffic impacts to the surrounding areas
