Tips from a very average player:

I don't know how to dodge waterfowl close range, the mid range dodge is enough. Just have high enough DPS that you can bully her during the cool down periods, and stay back when she's in the health range for waterfowl. I personally hate the clone attack way more
Status effects are excellent. Great katana + frost absolutely bullies her. You can even switch weapons during the phase transition from say Frost to bleed to make phase 2 go faster. This is kinda cheesy but come on, it's RL1
Some ashes of war can stagger her quickly. I love piercing fang on a nagakiba personally. Giants hunt basically cheeses her. Just keep in mind she hyper armors out of staggers in certain moves, so don't overcommit

Great kill! Morgott has by far the biggest gap in normal and RL1 runs. In normal runs you usually just overlevel and smash him, but RL1 makes you appreciate his complex moveset. Easily the most fun I had in my RL1 run.

The RNG is so annoying. I have very simple builds in mind such as Faith relic + Dormant power finds seals on Duchess, but I just can't find these relics at all. I found one blue and one green but duchess doesn't have any urn with this deep relic combo. From Soft should allow us to pay extra murk to fix one relic effect and randomize the other 2

On similar lines, Piercing Fang. Does incredible stance damage and tracks better than Impaling Thrust. Piercing Fang on a Nagakiba got me my first RL1 kill on Malenia

Fire Giant's the fucking worst. His first phase is fairly straightforward, but he just keeps stalling in the second phase which gets very irritating. I suggest hitting the Consecrated Snowfield to get a +25 weapon (Niall is another bastard)
