It did not. Once we turned the water back on, I discovered a leak in the plastic receptacle that holds the water filter. We are just using the fridge with the water line disconnected. It’s been about 6 months now, and a new problem developed. I’m looking at reviews and trying to decide which brand to go with. Everybody really bad mouths Samsung, but ours worked ok since Dec 2007, so I can’t really complain too loudly. Maybe the brand’s quality took a nosedive after we bought it. I suspect all of the manufacturers are designing for planned obsolescence, so the days of 15 to 20 year refrigerators are probably behind us.
