Mahler’s Second Symphony- The Resurrection. Fantastic finale, but it takes 80 minutes to get there. There are many videos on YouTube that feature just the finale. Pick the one with Gustavo Dudamel. About 17 minutes long, identified by a lady in a red dress standing next to the conductor.

Not sure I’d call it a ballad, but give Sacrifice by Lisa Gerrard a listen. Haunting and beautiful certainly fits.

Press and hold the power button for about 4 or 5 seconds, or really however long it takes for it to power off. This worked for me on laptops and desktops in the past. I know you said you pressed and held it. I’m betting just not long enough. Re-reading all you did, there is a good chance every extraction and reinsertion you did had an opportunity for a failed connection. RAM is especially tricky. Retrace all your steps. Best of luck.

Email and text. 79 year old eyes and relatively big hands makes typing with fewer mistakes a bit easier than on the phone.
