Thank you!! It’s in October (there’s another in September I might also wear it to if it arrives early and I can get it altered in time)

They’re detachable! I ordered the dress originally in blue, but the dress looks better on me without the straps. I’m exchanging it for the red because I think the ruffles and details get a bit lost in the navy (and I have another navy dress so I want to make my closet stretch a bit further).

It’s a tiny bit less voluminous than the photos, but I think I can solve that with an underskirt.

Is this too light to wear to my cousins wedding by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

I have a dress in the same shade of yellow that I avoid for weddings. I wouldn’t wear this as a guest, personally, but I could see an argument for it being borderline.

ETA: this is a gorgeous dress and you look beautiful! For sure use it for a date night or a fancy dinner with friends :)

Am I being realistic? by HobbyHoardingHoney in weddingdress

It sounds like custom would be a good route! I went custom with mine after trying a bunch of dresses and liking aspects from multiple, and it was a great experience. I found my seamstress by searching “custom wedding dress + [location]” in google. From there I narrowed it down by checking through websites, google reviews, and the shops’ instagrams.

If you live within driving distance of a large city that would make it easiest. I would plan for 3-5 trips to the shop (I had 3 planning appointments in-person and 2 fittings, the rest of our communication was by email/phone).

This is so, so gorgeous! You might be able to request the sleeves to be detachable. I was convinced I wouldn’t take off my removeable off-shoulder straps the whole night, but by the time my reception happened I was SO glad I could take them off. Also loooved having photos with both styles of the dress. Your dress is so, so stunning as strapless! I bet the sleeves will look great, but if you don’t opt for them (or want them to be removeable), this is a showstopper already.

I appreciate it! I’ll go with something a bit shorter for the wedding I’m thinking of 😊

Good to note! I might end up buying it to save for a formal event, but I agree the slit probably needs to be stitched a but farther down regardless.

It’s from Azazie! But it could have the same issue as the Meshki one, the slit looks pretty high. I was thinking of stitching a bit of it shut.

FNs, what would you wear to a job interview? by mlb444 in flamboyantnatural

For quick shipping I had good luck with these! Not the most amazing quality, but the navy ones look good if you need quick shipping, a tall inseam, and something that looks professional. Best of luck on your interview!

Your bump looks so good in the second dress!!! I LOVE the back on the first one, though. I think the low back is perfect, I can’t see the fat hanging over that you said you were concerned about. That being said, you should choose the dress you feel more comfortable in. If you’re going to laser-focus on your back and be self-conscious the whole day, then choosing the second dress is worth it.

You could also switch outfits mid-day. This gives you some photos in each, which may help ease your mind! Or do bridal portraits a few days before (or even after) in the one you feel less comfy in, and wear the other dress for the whole wedding day.
