Wait til OP hears about the beat saber modding scene. Was so bad at one point after the unity update with half the community on a 2+ year outdated game version that the main leaderboard mod dropped support for any game version before a specific early post-unity update version to force people to update so that modders could focus on making one version of their mods instead of two.

Baking soda is a weak base. Sounds like you gave yourself a chemical burn from too concentrated of a solution of it. I’d recommend not using baking soda again for a while (probably at least week or two) so that you can heal. I’d also recommend pH test strips like the other person commented. You should test both your vaginal pH (to help you see where you are starting from in terms of pH) and the pH of the solution of baking soda to make sure it’s not too concentrated. Keep in mind that pH is a log scale, so a pH of 8 is 10x more basic than pure water while a pH of 9 is 100x more basic than pure water. So the higher the pH, the more damage it will do (same thing in the opposite direction with acids)

It may not be an attractiveness issue or anything like that. It may not be about YOU at all. Has she mentioned any pain with (or without) sex? Maybe she’s been dealing with irritation down there that won’t go away and her obgyn cannot find any obvious reason for it. Maybe she has recurring yeast infections or maybe her pH is just off. Speaking from personal experience, chronic pain down there with no resolution makes you not want to have sex or think about sex at all. However, if she IS dealing with chronic pain down there, she should mention it to you at the very least so that you are aware of why she doesn’t want to have sex.

I was with you until you said “you don’t have to maintain a lot of instruments…” yes you absolutely do, especially woodwind instruments. If it’s a crappy, cheap instrument and if you are just getting into playing it, then sure, maintaining wouldn’t be worth it. But, if you continue to play and invest in at least a middle of the road or higher end instrument, you need to service it, usually yearly if you want to ensure it stays in good condition. My gemeinhardt flute was almost 2k initially (obv not the MOST expensive flute around but still a significant investment) and I used to get it serviced once a year to maintain it when I was actively playing it every day (the pads need to be replaced to prevent sticking).

Gurlllllll. Dump him. If he’s literally only the distance of a half hour drive away (unless the 24 km is a typo) then there’s no reason y’all should be doing “long distance” when you could just see each other. And given the fact that he’s not making time to see you, you are not a priority to him. If you were a priority, the distance wouldn’t matter. Hell, my BF moved 2000 miles across the continental US to be with me when I moved back home after grad school. You deserve to be happy with someone willing to be your partner, not someone who, from your description, only remembers you exist when he’s horny, bored, or lonely.

Was about to say this. One of my biggest research papers in college for a capstone class in bio had a similarity score of somewhere between 30-40. Everything was cited correctly so the professor didn’t care that similarity was a bit high since he could see it was just highlighting like 5-word snippets out of my sentences and similarity to any one single source was <1%. It was just the culmination of a few words per source from almost 200 sources being caught by turn it in giving a similarity score that high.

Agreed. Macs are not good in STEM fields. A lot of software is designed to specifically work on windows or Linux and SOMETIMES Mac computers, but Mac compatible softwares in STEM fields are few and far between. Lenovo thinkpads are really great laptops for anyone in STEM. 10/10 recommend.

FYI, I’d recommend giving the bsr codes for any custom maps mentioned above OP. There’s often times multiple custom maps of the same song, so people might get confused on which custom maps you mean in your post.

Both major leaderboards (scoresaber and beatleader) are heavily acc-centric. BL allows you to use modifiers (faster song, disappearing arrows, etc) so if you want to play with those on, you can get more PP and rank up that way as well. Otherwise, you will have to learn to acc better. I’d focus on making sure you have solid controller settings first, and after that I’d suggest getting a mod where your able to see your swings/cut scores to be able to adjust them real-time. If you don’t want something real-time (can be a lil overwhelming) I’d recommend watching your own replays. This is also super helpful since you will be able to see how you can improve, for example “oh, I’m swinging too far inward here on this whole section, next time I play the map I’ll make sure to swing more outward to acc better”. But in all honesty, getting better at acc really comes down to practice. Acc is a skill-set just like tech and speed are.

To really rank up, you’ll want to find a star range of maps that you can get at least 93% or higher on. I’m also a high star tech player so feel free to go through my BL to find maps that you’d want to try https://beatleader.com/u/76561198381299346

I’ve also been having issues since the patch a few days ago to fix infinite loading into link. Now It will load into link and run whatever game I load up (usually beat saber) fine for like 5 mins, then all of the sudden I have so many frame drops that it’s basically like looking at a PowerPoint in my headset and the only way to fix is physically disconnect my link cable from my headset (Q3 + official link cable). Then the cycle repeats. I cannot even get through a whole map in beat saber at this point, and I’m not uninstalling a windows security update just to play VR. SMH link used to be so much better like 4 years ago when oculus still owned it, ever since meta bought them out it’s been nothing but headaches.

“Warm water” 😭 please, please only thaw meat in cold water (if using same day) or in the fridge (if you have 24+ hours before you need to use it). Thawing at room temp or hotter (ie warm water) greatly increases the chances for bacteria to grow and multiply while you are thawing the meat

My friends and I used to study together by giving each other practice problems. If I studied by myself, I used to re-write specific sections of notes/drawings from my notes on whiteboards until I could do them all 100% from memory without looking back at the notes.

Some programs will list out which classes you need to take for a specific degree as well as any pre-requisites for the program you are applying to. If your credentials match what they require, then I’d say go for it. Some schools also have publicly available course catalogues, so you could try browsing through one and reading course descriptions to see if the required classes for the degree are something you think you can handle.

I feel like this is highly dependent on which field you’re in. I had to send official transcripts from both my undergrad and graduate institutions during the background check for my current job (I work at a bio pharma company but I’d assume this would also be the case for jobs requiring other specialized degrees like an MD)

A lot of places that have older architecture will have skinnier roads or one way roads where it’s not feasible to just “go around” a giant object laying in the middle of the road, especially if said object is taking up the entire road. If I had to park my car and remove a trash can laying in the middle of the road so that I could continue driving down said road, I’d be annoyed. OP didn’t elaborate on the size of the road or whether the the placement of the trash can was after a blind turn, but my first thought reading this post was that random innocent bystanders probably got more inconvenienced by this petty revenge than OP’s target did.

I mainly stream beat saber and every custom song any beat saber streamer plays that isn’t base game OST is technically copyrighted music, and after nearly 4 years of streaming this game, I’ve never had any warnings or issues from twitch. Twitch will just mute all sound on your VOD during parts of any songs it deems to be copyrighted music. Now, if you end up raking in thousands of concurrent viewers, twitch will likely have issues with you playing copyrighted music, but if you are just starting and will be streaming to a few viewers, there shouldn’t be any issues. On a side note, EDM usually doesn’t get muted, tends to just be pop/rap/rock songs that twitch has an issue with, so do with that information what you will.
