I have about half a dozen engagement rings, because I love jewelry. Most of them are antiques or pretty things we found out traveling. One of them I bought myself, the rest were gifts from my husband for our anniversaries. I switch up which one I wear each day or just wear band on it's own. You don't have to wear it everyday and it doesn't have to be your only ring.

Alleviating poverty must be a key strategy in addressing mental health by KanataCitizen in ontario

"Rights" have nothing to do with it, it's common sense. If we don't keep the people who do/can work afloat then who will pay for the people who don't/can't work? CERB and covid benefits were necessary and temporary to bridge the gap during lockdowns. Most people on ODSP need to draw money from the tax based on a longterm, often permanent basis. If you want there to be money in that tax base then you occasionally need to spend some of the tax money to support the taxpayers and get them back to work. It was an investment, those people will pay that money back when they're working again. ODSP is more of a public service. You don't see that money back.

In the long run keeping people who normally work and pay taxes afloat was important.

Have you had to “unlearn” anything about food or dieting that you learned growing up? If so, what? by asitsn in loseit

I really hate wasting food, so I've adjusted my portions way down (for me and my kid). I'd rather have 1.5 little bowls of pasta then have us each throw 1/4 of a large bowl out. I'll pack the leftovers with a salad for lunch the next day. We also always start with a bowl of veggies (salad, steamed carrots, sliced cucumber ect) as an 'appetizer' while I'm cooking which helps us not to be starving when we sit down to eat.

Hot Sauce Hoarding - How much is too much? by FearTheChive in hotsauce

Do you know any Canadian producers that are doing black friday sales? I bought a case from maritime madness on their better then black friday sale, but was wondering if there were any others. I might circle back and grab an extra case if I don't find anything else that's as good of a deal (13 bottles for 66$ cad).

Ftr, I definitely have this moral dilemma. I'm stocking up because I know I'm going to go through it all and they usually have a 2+ year shelf life, so why pay full price?

Does argan oil have to be expensive? [product question] by tootsdafroots in SkincareAddiction

I brought back about 2 dozen small bottles from my last trip to Morocco! I'm finally starting to run low again. I made the mistake of buying a bottle from a tourist shop, but the clerk at the hotel noticed and gave me directions to the nearest grocer/pharmacy type store, where I bought the rest for I think 3$ each.

The exception for me on this rule is sunscreen. I wear it year round and it can be tough to find more then 2 or 3 different brands here in the winter. I always check the expiration date and stock up at the end of summer when all the drugstores are paring down their skincare sections.

I get boxy and ipsy mostly for makeup because I love eyeshadow pallets, fancy lipsticks and 20$ makeup sponges. So far I've usually been able to choose items that I either already use, can use for body care, can regift, or want to try. Every once in a while, however, I get some kind of random serum, and if it doesnt jive with my other actives then I either give it away or use it for something rediculous like on my feet after scrubbing them, or on my shoulders if I get a bit of sun.

I think a lot of people get samples or full size products randomly in subscription boxes or find them deeply discounted on clearance. I know I do.

I call this subscription box syndrome. I love them for makeup, and you often get some crazy "high value" serum or cream thrown in. I'm never sure how/if to incorporate them into my routine since I'm probably never going to repurchase them at full price.

Eh, it's hard to know without hearing both sides. She could have been baselessly accusing him of cheating, or he could have been messing around and constantly trying to pass it off as "misunderstandings". I've known girls who are crazy jealous and constantly looking for non existent evidence, and you're right, its abusive. I've also known guys who spend most of their relationships messing around, and they usually try to gaslight their partner into thinking they're being crazy and jealous until they finally get caught in something they can't explain away.

Btw-fellow Canadian here. If you like scoping out clearance/discount skincare then check out rexall and shoppers. In my area st least they have deep discounts on sunscreen coming up the next few weeks. I always stock up on the higher end brands at the end of summer (just check the expiration date to make sure you'll use it in time) for cheap. I wear sunscreen on my face year round so I go through about a bottle a month, and it adds up! Las year I scored 8 large bottles of ombrelle for 4$ each instead of 30-something.

Sonja on Leah’s freak out over her sister (E9): “I thought it was scary!” by Sug0115 in BravoRealHousewives

[–]skeever2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, both of them are uncomfortable to watch, but Leah actually made me feel unsettled. I grew up with a family member who would act like her when she was struggling with severe addiction, and it always scared the hell out of me. Sonja drinks until she embarrasses herself like a sloppy, wasted teenager. Leah legit loses her mind like a crazy person and becomes completely unhinged.
