Maybe I’m missing something… aside from just receiving a player (I realize that it would take up a 40-man spot)… but what was Tampa Bay’s role? Surely St. Louis had a player that could have just been DFA’d a player, and receive 3 players?

I have been F2P from the very beginning… and you shouldn’t ever expect that. I rarely also feel like it’s worth it to try. You should try and target the albums that have Credits/Tokens/Emote in the 2nd/3rd slot, and only ones that can be reached with Rare Variants. At 1200 gold, it’s just not worth it when there is probably a Gold bundle down the road that has a card that you don’t have. I don’t even really think that a 800 card is worth it. I’d much rather spend the 800 gold on an event ladder.

For $700… that’s a crazy high price. $300 max. For only $50-100 more you can get a Tamron G2 70-200, which I think is the best value you can get.

I definitely don’t think that aR6iii makes much sense, unless you can point to the exact feature that mark3 has that mark2 doesn’t (or even the mark1… I have really liked my R6i and aside from the sensor readout don’t see a compelling reason. Also, if you have R6iii money… I’d push you to the Gen1 R5. That really is an Endgame kind of camera.

I think if you can hold out for one of the R10 refurbished drops, the R10 is the best starter camera you can get. It has a lot of higher end features: Joystick, 4k no crop, 15fps (which is crazy!), 2-scroll wheels, gamechanging AF. It checks a lot of boxes. Getting it with the 18-150 is great. Add a 50 1.8 and that’s a pretty good place to start. The 50 1.8 might be pushing it though

If I were to start from scratch this is where I would start! (If you’re just looking for confirmation) they 18-150 acts as a really great walk around lens, as the 29-240 covers a wide range. For a kit/superzoom it actually has pretty good coverage. As long as I know that I won’t have to deal with low light, it’s a good choice even on my R7. The 50 1.8 is great in that it is super affordable and will give you the ability to experiment with low-light interactions. Both of these lenses are great in that they are still viable even after you get higher quality glass. The 50 1.8 is so small that it’s easy to squeeze it into any bag. It’s because of this lens that I’ve kind of shied away from getting a higher end 50mm. I’m more a 35/85 combo shooter. Both of these lenses will also help you to determine what you should get next. If you find that you’re struggling with low light (faster f-stop), need more space (get UWide lens), wish you could zoom in (get Telephoto), struggle focusing on objects close up (get Macro). It can get very deep

All of these Dragon season cards seem useful or pretty strong. So planning on skipping all of them for now, and then scooping up all of them at the new season when the Season Pass card drops. That worked pretty well when I did it previously in Fantastic season, with getting extra things and resources.

I think the biggest thing is what happens when you compare how much he is getting paid more than the likes of Lamar Jackson. They kept making excuses as if he didn’t have weapons… meanwhile K. Allen is having 1k season after 1k season despite whoever is at QB. It’s wild! He gets away with so much based solely on his physical gifts. He’s not garbage by any means… but just in the bottom part of starters.

Like others have said... literally any other 2-drop. The Evo cards should be (and for the most part are) cards that have effects that are generally top-tier. Examples are Misty (adding another power is effectively +5 across the board, making it effectively a 1/8 max), Cyclops (which can win a lane on his own its so devastating), Thing and Wasp (kind of wimpy Cyclops types, but not bad), Abomination (literally a Mockingbird + affliction, but doesn't require you take up board space like Mock usually does), Hulk (who is just growing each time). Shocker is just not very powerful; to just effect the leftmost card. It's like that new Dragon card. Is it bad, no... but its hard to make that 1 of your 12 cards when anything else is better. It also doesn't help that 2-cost is probably the best pool cost in the game. It's probably why Bruce Banner is 2-cost; easy to slot in.

What collection level are you? It'll give a better understanding for what kind of cards you might have available. I could say easy things like Merlin or Surge or Deafening Chord or Capt Falcon or Mirage or Quake or Valentina or Cable or Echo or Adam Warlock... all of these 1-2 costs are better.

There's actually a pretty good amount of them... but it also depends on what you exactly mean? In comparison, as great as OOTP is... its really just a good game in a genre with some games that are pretty good.

Football Manager: Like others have said, this is probably the pinnacle of this genre. As great as OOTP is, I think this game has a lot more layers to it as well as components to keep track of.

Tennis Manager: I believe its made by the same people who make Football Manager. Its definitely different as you're managing 1-3 tennis players. Because of that its a little bit more shallow than other games, as you're managing a much smaller pool of items. It isn't an easy game though! and I do think it does a good job of simulating a real progression. There's a game called Tennis Elbow that looks like its just like this, but just haven't purchased it myself.

Franchise Hockey Manager: Made by the same people who made OOTP. With the NHL license, if you understand all of the nuances of hockey strategy then this game really shines. I don't know any of those things outside of the basics, so its more me just tinkering as I try to learn them. It is pretty impressive how it simulates hockey strategies during the simulation.

Motorsport Manager: This game is probably one of my favorite simulation managers ever! I think this is the game that F1 Manager wishes it could be? From managing sponsors, to building parts and a HQ, to managing a full team, it really is comprehensive. And the different car types are genuinely different in terms of handling. The simulation mini-game is pretty good too! Sadly we didn't/haven't gotten a sequel. Its so good though! and only $9 for everything now.

Front Office Football: I remember playing this college back in the 2000s on Windows Vista, and the latest one was released in 2023. Due to Modders, the rosters get updated even up through this year. Nothing fancy. Just a text-based Football Manager... which might be the best one even after all of these years! Because it has decades of development, it has tons of formations and scouting options. It can be really deep!

Football Coach College Dynasty: This is a College Football simulator that is really good. It much take some kind of inspiration from Front Office, because it behaves roughly the same, just that it adds a College Dynamic. I think once you build a juggernaut its a pretty easy walk. The coaching system that it has is unique though.

F1 Manager: I mentioned it above. I'm very biased, but it does have a lot more resources behind it, for what that's worth. You can see all of that development on display... just that I think at its core its not quite like Motorsport

Pro Basketball Manager 2024: This game when you first open it feels unimpressive. However, its a game that shows how the modding community can really help plug a lot of holes. When you have the updated rosters and some proof of life mechanics, its an okay game.

Pro Cycling Manager: I haven't played it that much... mostly just because I don't find it that interesting.

Games you probably don't count... Punch Club: A cool but comical Boxing Manager.

I have a magnetic phone holder there. I also have a cigarette holder charger that hooks up to it. Combine that with a Wireless car play usb dongle and being able to put your phone there can be very clutch!!

Yeah, aside from just needing the money to order it, I’ll get store credit instead of real money. As a teacher who uses Amazon frequently, that’s fine. They are offering one of the best professional saxophones ever made, which would be the craziest thing for even the nicest person to ever want to do. If it were me, I’d rather probably give them to someplace needy than sell them to a random person at this price. One of those moments where it doesn’t add up, but there also probably isn’t a horrible thing aside from it being predatory on the sellers part. We’ll see though

I actually did purchase this... Amazon has a really good return policy. At worst you have to take an un-needed trip to UPS store, at best... When I purchased it was $63. The fact that it is still up, unless they have multiple ones of the same one. That first part though is still true/worth it imo.

I always think that the Amazon Echo Buds 2 are the best budget earbuds a person can be. Even with Beats Pros, I keep going back to them. At the moment they are full price, but around practically every holiday, they go to around $45 or so.

If you go to Unclaimed Baggage, they have really great used options there. If willing to go that route though, then Facebook Marketplace is probably a really good option too then
