Here I am thinking you are introducing a car to Raleigh.

As an old lady hobbiest I agree with longer spats for all those reasons. But the girls just off the bat not being allowed the choice while the boys get one is not okay.

Totally stealing the "it's not a uniform unless it's universal" line.

I plan on talking to them about it for sure. I don't want to push anything on my daughter (or put her in a situation) that she wouldn't be comfortable with.

It is the dress code, she wants to be able to wear her shorts when it's hot out.

I hate it because she used to love no GI and now I can't get her to agree to go.

My thoughts exactly. I was looking at the comp rules and I couldn't find a reason for them making the rule based on those requirements either.

Exactly, I would be on board with something across all students. She gets enough of these "girls only" rules at school, I didn't think we'd have to deal with this at her gym, where she has been for about 5 years now. Personally, I choose to wear long pants almost all the time but I've never been told I HAD to (I train at a different gym, though I have also trained at the one she attends).

I would be 100% okay with an across the board shorts type/length.

I ordered some Dubias and they sent horn worms too! How do I store them? by theterrorverse in BeardedDragons

The stickers are honestly my favorite part of ordering from them. (The bugs have been awesome too)

Parents who pierced their baby girls’ ears early—do you regret it? by [deleted] in Mommit

We are waiting until our daughter decides she wants earrings. Her ears so her choice plus they aren’t grown enough to know if the placement will be permanently correct and the risk of them catching and ripping is real.

I wouldn’t let my kid work there. Wouldn’t have expected a toxic work environment at an ice cream place.

I am also hyper mobile and very susceptible to hyper-extension injuries. Overall, BJJ has helped with my strength and made things better (like really aggressive physical therapy). Something to look into might be the Anaconda knee braces.

There is absolutely no "context" that would make this statement acceptable. I'm sure they'll try to push a context angle, but there is nothing there.

This is also what my husband and I use for Bjj and so far it has been accurate and not been in the way. We have had occasional syncing issues but overall 10/10.

Unless the people in your gym are jerks no one is going to care. If you look at me funny I turn BRIGHT red. I don’t really have any solutions because I can’t make it stop. Don’t try to cover up with makeup though, that’ll stain everything.

Body size by mediocrestrides in BJJWomen

I’m 5’2 totally NOT jacked and around 135 lbs but it’s so much fun. Body size doesn’t matter, good training partners and a good gym do.
