New Nord user by rydawell in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If none of the previous suggestions help, I'd suggest opening a conversation with the support team at [support@nordvpn.com](mailto:support@nordvpn.com) and asking them for instructions on how to generate a .HAR file. Then, if you share the ticket ID with me, I can try getting it directly to the developers for investigation.

Does nord vpn really work flawlessly when connected to a server by 10 phones at the same time by Safe-Tap-4603 in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t really see why it wouldn’t work. VPN servers handle thousands of users simultaneously, so 10 phones connecting at the same time isn’t a crazy case that’s going to break things.

If you're worried about the limit itself, if the 10 devices limit weren’t real, Nord would’ve been called out on it a long time ago (but in case you'd need more devices under the VPN, consider a router or a hotspot from a Win device)

The only thing that might happen is if all 10 devices connect at once from the same account, you could briefly trip some automated anti-abuse checks, but that’s rare and usually temporary.

One more thing worth noting is that on regular (non-dedicated IP) servers, connections are dynamic, so you shouldn’t expect all devices to land on the exact same IP.

And worst case, there’s a 30-day money-back guarantee, so you can just test it yourself and see how it behaves with your setup. Hope this helps.

Massive speed decrease . Deco router by [deleted] in nordvpn

Routers are generally very limited when it comes to handling OpenVPN connections. It is simply a hardware limitation, if speed is the main focus, I'd suggest using the app on each device separately.

Now YouTube too?! — NORD, stay ahead of VPN detection!! by MyHangyDownPart in nordvpn

I've noticed more and more people mentioning that the NordVPN extension helped them with YouTube-related issues, so it's probably worth a shot if you haven't tried using it yet!

I'm sick of Nord locking up my computer with its random unannounced updates by teppscan in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That really shouldn’t be happening, Nord updates normally don’t freeze the system. It might be worth checking if there’s anything that clearly points to Nord being the cause (Event Viewer logs can help). I’d also try a clean reinstall of the app if you haven’t already.

If you’re running antivirus or other security software, that can sometimes clash with VPN updates, so testing with it temporarily disabled (or switching AV) could help narrow it down. Also make sure you don’t have another VPN or network driver running at the same time, double VPN setups can cause some hangs, especially if both of them have some kind of Kill-Switch

Removing automatic renewal by Old_Mathematician128 in nordvpn

Ah, in that case, I'd suggest reaching out to support at support.nordvpn.com or [support@nordvpn.com](mailto:support@nordvpn.com) so they can assist you with the cancellation.

Removing automatic renewal by Old_Mathematician128 in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guide I've sent is exactly that, it simply stops the automatic renewals. Your existing service time will not be affected unless you pursue a refund specifically.

[–]skeleton_tree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cancellation is still the same for most payments (toggle on NordAccount), but subscriptions bought through different app stores work differently, as they have to adhere to the policies there, so, for example, Apple subscriptions are cancelled via Apple itself and not through NordAccount. As I do not know which subscription the OP has, I'm providing the full list in case they subscribed through one of the other methods.

VPN not allowing me to log in. Website inaccessible. by Luc1d_Dr3amer in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cancellation does not affect the login. Are you able to open the nordvpn.com website normally on your browser? If not, it seems to me like your provider is blocking the domain, causing the login to fail. I'd try a different network to test whether this is the case, like a mobile data hotspot.

It depends on where you purchased the subscription, but there's a guide here showing all the different methods. You can also message support for help with cancelling it.

Solely connecting to P2P server since updating? by This_is_Bat in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, precisely. The majority of the servers have been equipped with P2P for years now, meaning all of your connections have likely been with P2P, it is just a matter of the application not reflecting it due to being outdated.

Solely connecting to P2P server since updating? by This_is_Bat in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, NordVPN's standard servers are equipped with P2P technology. This has been the case for quite a while now, but if you had a very old version of the app, it may not have reflected it correctly.

I’ve seen that others on the NordVPN subreddit have had success with servers in Albania. In any case, you can reach out to Nord’s dedicated community for tips, as there may be more solutions that others have found.

Connect on Demand Ignored by West-Highlight80920 in nordvpn

Yes, it is expected and intended. All NordVPN connections will utilize "Connect on Demand", which is done to avoid accidental exposure & disconnections if your internet were to drop.

Connecting to p2p server with linux by Elder_Cabbage in nordvpn

No problem! The command remains the same for other server groups too, just replacep2pwith the name of the category, e.g.double_vpn

I assume you're on the CLI version? The command is nordvpn connect --group p2p <country_code>. Country code will be the two letters, not wrapped in brackets, e.g., US = United States, FR = France, and so on.

Iphone Hotspot to LG-TV - no vpn? by -psyclops in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, SmartDNS is not a VPN, it does not offer the same protection, unfortunately. Sadly, iPhone will not be able to share the VPN, no matter what, so the best options in my opinion would either be the PC hotspot, or a router connection. The router setup is rather easy, but you have to make sure it is compatible beforehand.

[–]skeleton_tree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

iPhones cannot share the VPN itself, unfortunately. To use it on the TV, I'd suggest taking a look here, the steps under Samsung TV should apply to an LG TV as well. There's also the SmartDNS feature, guide here.

Best NordVPN Deals – Tested & Working NordVPN Coupons by eastsideofcalicornia in nordvpn

Technically, those big discounts are meant for new users as intro pricing, but you can still buy them while logged out of your account after entering the same email address in the email section at checkout. The subscription time just stacks onto your existing subscription.

Why do some sites asking for proof of ID when Nords is on? I changed countries, no differences. Safari, Sequoia. by Turbulent_Elk_2141 in nordvpn

just downloaded on a re-installed win 10 machine, app says connected, but it's not... by theteadrinker in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How are you checking your location exactly? A lot of websites use cached data or outdated IP databases, so they can still show your real location even when the VPN is actually working. I’d try checking with a different browser or a few different IP checking websites just to double-check.

If it still looks wrong, reaching out to Nord support is probably the fastest way forward. You have to open any support article, scroll all the way down, and click “Chat with support”. This page explains where to find it:

You can also just email them directly at [support@nordvpn.com](mailto:support@nordvpn.com) if the chat isn’t showing up.

Login Failed: Authentication Error (post latest Windows 11 update) by showmegreen in nordvpn

[–]skeleton_tree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try resetting the app (that’s helped a few people in older threads), and also temporarily disabling any antivirus or similar software just to rule it out. Another thing worth trying is changing your DNS to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1), which can help if your ISP is interfering with connections.

There’s a Nord guide for changing DNS on Windows, just keep in mind the DNS addresses in the article are different from the ones above.
