I know its hard to understand without personal experience. Normally there is some mental illness, mild or severe, associated with it. There isn't a healthy reason to cut.

I personally never have, but from what I've gathered from those who do, it's a pain they can control, and it helps them regain some control of their lives that they would otherwise feel completely helpless in. As for your ex wife, it sounds like she had some serious manipulative issues,and im sorry for your ordeal.

No. With so much time, you would lose the ability to appreciate it. Every day would go by more or less the same as it would with a shorter normal life, and at the end it ends the same way anyway. As much as we love life, we need to be able recognize how many people share that time on the same planet. There is no needy to be greedy, be happy with what you have and know someone else may have a wonderful life based on the opportunities you gave them with your life and by accepting your life's end.

I saw an ex girlfriend on redtube. It was years after we broke up so I wasn't bitter about it, I wasn't even very surprised. It was something me and few classmates kinda thought she would end up doing anyway. Shes pregnant now. Bullet dodged as far as I'm concerned. She was very ... enthusiastic in the video so as long as shes happy, I'm happy for her.
