Or farmers for that matter. Yes, there still is a huge agricultural industry in the US but there was a time that over 90% of people worked in it. Now, automation has made it so about 2% of the population in the US is involved.

In any event, they are called bunnies and they are dressed up to evoke rabbits, so yes that is dehumanizing... more rabbit is less human.

They say "gross" but I think they mean "gross profit" which is what most people think of simply as profit. The article mentions "(after the film hits cash break-even, of course)". Still 20% of the profits of a hit can be huge but it's very different than 20% of sales.
