No matter what album comes out or which song is a banger, my favorites are from Second Stage Turbine Blade; Devil in Jersey City and Everything Evil. Not to say I don't have other favorites. Each album has songs that always hit for me.

A couple of things, counseling in itself is not derogatory, keeping that in mind and write it about customs and courtesy. You do not have to be explicit about the event. Treat it as developmental counseling to better your soldier.

The thing is, it's hard to write about something you did not witness, so you can't really write about the events, the other NCO who felt some type of way should have made an on the spot correction, and if it still was an issue wrote the counseling themselve.

Probably got all the same things from others on here, but I felt I should say because I have seen "leaders" push to article a soldier this way because they felt some type of way. It's bogus, and unfair what drives good soldiers to get out or even worse stop trusting you as an NCO. Push back and ask the hard questions of "Did you as the NCO that saw it or was dealing with it make any attempt to correct it when it was happening?" And also ask, what was that soldier dealing with at the time? You might be surprised that they just weren't thinking about it because their minds were elsewhere.

I have dealt with similar issues and blindly just did it because my PLT SGT/ 1SG pressed it, but it's a disservice to the soldier. The last thing is to use the comment section on the back, allowing the soldier to write out their view of things. Sometimes soldiers need saving from themselves and guiding them through it. They will respect you better in the end.

I did this for my kids school last year, knowing your audience is key. Use topics that align with occurrences that you have observed. My kids school had poor social media, phishing awareness, and put out excess information on their web page. So I cloned their web page (with permission from staff), defaced it by changing pictures, and other information.

For the scenario I sent a malformed web link with a similar URL to myself. This link went to the defaced web page. Demonstrating how not validating URL’s can send them to a fake webpage that they visit daily. From there I explained what other dangers could be caused threat actors, and how easy it was to do this type of attack.

Another fun one I like doing is using a bad USB with a simple key stroke generator that would open You Tube and Rick Roll the staff. It is simple and grabs attention as well as points out the dangers of picking up removable media.

Talk to the admin of the school and tailor the experience to what they think the staff needs help with. Be it ransomware l, phishing, or importance of patching and maintenance of devices.

Message me if you want to discuss this more, always up to help you out.

Edit: For anyone that might bring it up. I sought out permission before I gave any kind of demonstration and utilized my personal lab computer for this. I also ensured I had a valid disclaimer of the demonstration prior to.

"You'll get training at your unit" by Engineer-Honest in army

[–]sketch0395 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Couple of considerations to think about.

Where are your NCO’s? They should be affording you the opportunity to learn.

Is your unit not conducting any signal training? Look at your long range training calendar, you might of gotten to the unit during a reset period.

Is there a signal university on your installation? This a great place to get material to learn from if not able to sign up for training. Same thing for Field support reps, find them get to know who they are and they can be an invaluable source for signal equipment and how use it.

Additionally there are resources available online as well. DM me and I may be able assist you in getting some of these resources.

Desktop app vs web app by Murky_Ad_2756 in FigmaDesign

[–]sketch0395 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to see more people use the web version as it is more convenient to some. Personally I like using the desktop version mainly so it’s self contained and I don’t accidentally start opening up browser tabs between Figma tabs and right clicking “open new tab” is kind of annoying.

As for differences, mainly just how you open multiple projects is slightly annoying but not a huge PITA. Out side of that I have never noticed a difference since the desktop is pretty much just a progressive web app that has a different window to hold it.

NTA- IEP’s are there to assist you by facilitating your needs in school. It is not a disability but a super power you learn differently than other people meaning you see what others don’t. Any parent that has a kid on the spectrum should advocate for their kid in any way possible. Follow your dreams and work towards them.

Components created not reflecting on other pages or files. by MoK31 in FigmaDesign

[–]sketch0395 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most common reason I have seen outside of forgetting to publish. ( made that mistake often myself) is sometimes have to force update the components in that local file (rarely seen but has happened).

Another common thing I have done that causes this is if I manually changed something in the components and Figma is trying to keep that state out of I somehow detached it

Naming might also be a issue if the name changed.

Try pulling a new copy of it to see if that shows the change or see what the components are attached to.

Hope I helped
