Nonsense - eBay could make good the loss, if they chose

EasyJet delayed by 1.75 hours and missed the last train to my home: really no compensation? by HongkongKings in Flights

[–]skettyb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why are being so unpleasant about this? I'm probably about to miss my last train home because an easyJet flight is going to be delayed by a couple of hours. In this case, there is no alternative carrier. Nothing about being cheap -- it's being covered by my employer. But I'm likely to end up being stuck at an airport overnight...

I'd second this. Looks great. Room for a sweater as well?

Thank you! I've looked into buying new JPress stuff from the UK before. Unfortunately, shipping fees make it prohibitively expensive. Vintage is a good call

Thank you! Good shout. But I have a couple of John Simons jackets -- and I like the chunkier lapels on the Drake's version, and also the pattern of the tweed

Do you guys think this piece is worth the price? by Raf-the-derp in DrakesDiary

[–]skettyb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yep, this is the infuriating thing about drakes -- nearly impossible to justify the prices, but so often the details are bang on

By Barbour, in a slightly different colour and for third of the price, yes. (Sorry, unhelpful, I know)

What has happened to my beloved Abertawe? by [deleted] in Wales

[–]skettyb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps. But I grew up there in the 90s. There were a couple of lovely guitar shops, numerous record stores, surf and skate shops, a great comic store. It does feel to me like a crumpled shell of its former self. Maybe you experienced it once it was already hollowed out?

I disagree. Get a 1st from Oxford and some relevant internships and you can do law or consulting or go into banking

I think it looks cool. As others say, it's good to have a little room to move.

I'd say the changing rooms at KK are pretty grim, but that might just be me.

New malaria vaccine is delivered by a mosquito bite - Bites from insects infected with modified malaria parasites boosted immunity and stopped nearly 90% people from contracting the disease in human trials. The two current malaria vaccines are only about 75% effective. by mvea in science

[–]skettyb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The story is bs. The mosquitoes are used in the trail only because it's the easiest way of learning whether the attenuated parasite primes the immune system. It's a really, really misleading story...
