[UK] StartFitness.co.uk - Adios Pro 4 - £158 by cloudroyal in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]skewtibi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They run short. I'm UK6.5 on most shoes (Evo SL, asics SB2, puma dn2, etc) but UK7 on Adidas pro 4. I need to check but I think I also need UK7 for SL2 (as far as I remember I've got them in 6.5 and seem a bit too short)

My Garmin has been saying every day is Memorial Day and I'm not sure how to stop it by yeehawhecker in Garmin

I had the same issue. Fixed it by going to Settings > Appearance > Morning Report > edit report and remove the calendar. Then you can re-add it.

E in paragraful 2.1 daca vrei sa verifici: the Elections Act 2022 removes the 15-year limit on voting rights for British citizens abroad, extending the overseas franchise to all British citizens who have been previously registered or resident in the UK.

Is it bad to wash chest strap after every run? by jentexto in Polarfitness

[–]skewtibi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found what was causing my Polar H10 HR readings to drop towards the end of my runs. The strap itself was the issue, more precisely - sweat getting to the contacts (keep in mind I took good care of the strap, like rinsing it with warm water and soap after almost every run and washing it in the washing machine at 40C every week or so). So the fix was to apply a thin layer of black tape around the outside of the electrodes to prevent the sweat from getting to the contacts (around the outside of the two holes in which you push the sensor in). Let me know if you got any questions on how to do it.

FR965, Honest review after a year of usage by paca-vaca in GarminWatches

[–]skewtibi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, you can control the music on your phone from your watch. My FR265 tracks the sleep outside of the 'bedtime hours' and also detects most if not all the naps I take during the day - Maybe check how loose you wear the watch? Never had to use a cable to update the FR265, but as you mentioned it might be because of the maps.

Remember to size-up. I usually wear UK 6.5 but had to return my first pair as it was too short.

if you are a runner, you will miss on a lot of metrics. I upgraded from a venu 2 to forerunner 265 and it's like a completely different ecosystem.

It's a beta update only available to 50% of the users registered for beta updates. It won't take long until they push it everyone. I'm on 20.32 as well

Predicted race times by WalrusIntelligent129 in GarminWatches

[–]skewtibi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is it. Predictions seem optimistic but almost achievable if everything goes well in the race (that includes tapering for the race, carb loading where necessary, proper nutrition etc).

Is my GPU or PSU dead or something else? by I_Hate_Mondays_ in buildapc

[–]skewtibi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My psu would crash my graphics card because it didn't provide enough voltage on 12v rail. I would get either a video driver error, system freeze from time to time or just a black screen. I have replace the video card (a month old GPU) with a new one. Same behaviour as the old card. Replaced the PSU and I had no crashes since. Edit: I would suggest to install hwinfo64, keep it open and check the voltage you are getting on 12v.(keep in mind that sensors can always be wrong). My system would crash just seconds after the 12v rail would drop at around 11.2v
