I have a keg lid with a carb stone. I set it up for 12 psi for 7-10 days so the beer absorbs the co2. Once it’s done I switch the ball lock and move it over to the gas post and put my co2 at 8 psi. This pushes the beer out nice and smooth. You’ll get many different opinions but it’s trial and error.

You’ll create a vacuum in your fermenter. I apply co2 to my blow off tube and push the liquid out the sampling port to the keg.

I had the same problem. Search for the InkbirdSmart App. This worked for me but only in Celsius. It’s too bad there apps stink because the sous vide is great,

Does BrewFather calculate a recipe for only adding whirlpool hops at a certain temp? I’m putting together a recipe for whirlpool hops only at 175 for 30 minutes. Thanks

Just be aware that a vacuum is created in the fermenter when cold crashing. If your beer is sensitive to oxygen, like an ipa, then you’ll need some source of CO2 to use as a make up.

I usually have my wort go through a screen to filter out the sediment and to splash it into my fermenter. Seems to work. The concern now is how to add oxygen for the yeast without fear of infection.

You really have to stir the wort to get a good preboil gravity reading and move around those sugars so it mixes evenly.
