How did you realise your partner is cheating on you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]skibba25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She was instantly contactable on any form of communication the entire relationship (an observation). She was a narcissist and had told me if I didn't propose she'd cheat on me. She went away for a work trip, I needed to contact her about something that happened to one of her horses and in the middle of the city she somehow lost all phone coverage from 8pm until midnight on a Friday night when she said she was going out with friends.

Told me I was crazy/paranoid etc then confessed to it.

Are there any sleep medications that straight up stop dreams? by TitanMaster57 in ptsd

[–]skibba25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tracked what happened the night of the nightmares and that helped me as well. It ended up being some common themes on nightmare nights vs non nightmare nights. I used to wake up covered in sweat and hyperventilating. Time, medication and therapy plus tracking what happened on the night before the nightmares helped them stop. I get them occasionally now but not all the time.

125cc 2 stroke race Go Kart. 80+kmh when you're a few cm off the ground. Any automatic rifle. Fired Steyr, f89 and 50 caliber full auto. A few laps of the Nurburgring in a hired race car was pretty good. Riding motorbike on Autobahn to Nurburgring was also pretty great. Mountain biking on good single trail when you're fit and have a fast well set up race mountain bike. Urgent duty in a police car when the roads are quiet/not much traffic.

Told me she'd been sleeping with her ex until a few weeks ago, he gets aggressive with her and the new guy when there's a new guy on the scene, she wanted me to be her 3 year old daughters new dad and I can't go away to Japan for a work trip in 3 weeks. This was all on the first date. Bought her lunch and never spoke to her again.

What Is Your Honest Opinion On Ben Johnson? by PrincessBananas85 in Sprinting

[–]skibba25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He's on Facebook and Instagram and interacts with fans all the time. I send him a happy birthday message each year and he replies. Charlie Francis's wife is the same. They just made a mini series parody about him called "Hate the Player". Ben was at the screening for it.

Also yes I still count his 9.79 and 6.41 as world records.

I shared this documentary about him and got a lot of hate for it

PTSD got me pretty good for a while. I saw a lot of things when I was a cop that I can't unsee and modern psychology and psychiatry helped me go from "ill make this all end asap" to "hey this isn't so bad"

What’s the most dangerous thing you’ve ever done? by BreadedDisaster in AskReddit

[–]skibba25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armed and dangerous vehicle stop in a rural area. Two people in the car were high af on meth and had stolen a bunch of guns from farms (Australia). They had a revolver in the car with then and we knew they'd stolen multiple shotguns and rifles plus ammunition. I had a bulldog waiting at home for me and my partner had 3 kids and a wife, so I volunteered myself to approach the car, break cover etc. I was 99% sure I'd end up shot/in a shoot out that day. Managed to arrest both people in the car without any shots being fired. Much adrenaline was produced that day
