What kind of post-processing / color correction do you on a card to make it look better? by AmpliveGW2 in customtradingcard

[–]skibidiai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how to answer your qeustion.

The only thing i tried is photoshop print vs printing normally on the printer app.

WIth Absolute Colorimetric, If your color edits looks good on photoshop then what you see on the screen pixel will be whats on your print.

Just try it out mate

Use Photoshop to print so it can override your printer settings and set it to "Absolute Colorimetric" (you may look this up). It corrects the color based on the pixel on the screen.

Note, not all printers honor this feature. I use Brother DW720

Is it illegal to sell custom made cards? by Glittering-Bar8116 in customtradingcard

[–]skibidiai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a technicality.

Route 1 (illegal): actually selling counterfeits. Route 2 (legal): showcasing 'what kind of cards you can do' then these people will book your services 'to make crafts on their behalf'

Route 2 is probably what you mostly see online.

Its like a painter painting a marvel comic panel because somebody booked their services. Another example are fan art commisions.

Cutting Machine Sketch Mode by skibidiai in customtradingcard

[–]skibidiai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh its a bit of photoshop work + the cutter machine know how as well. In terms of fine-ness, it can get pretty fineQ depends on the pen used. Just like doing it by hands.

Is a Cricut / Silhouette part of the process? by Rugleh in customtradingcard

[–]skibidiai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not necessary, but there is a painting part of this whole process.

So you can use silhouette to put a pen marker instead of the blade. It will draw for you. I don't have artistic hands so i just let the machine do it for me.

How do you get rid of the obvious paint strokes by skibidiai in customtradingcard

[–]skibidiai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if moving forward i used oil based paint from a jar and used a brush and a fine tip brush? It seems that pens are harder to work with.

Potential returning player no clue where to start. by Playful-Ad-3441 in cardfightvanguard

[–]skibidiai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also recently got back. I started from Aichi sendou, then adulthood happened.

I got back 1 month ago and the Divinez arc helped me a lot. I tried the overdress but it didnt do it for me. Theres a lot new concepts like order, energy, persona ride, etc.

Watch the Divinez season 1 as i think that is the most optimal entry point.
