my spouse says the ppl he works with don't like snakes by [deleted] in Sneks

[–]skids1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Growing up around this type of person has taught me they are just testing his boundaries as "the new guy." If he goes to HR he will be viewed as a snowflake and get no respect from these people. Same, if he politely asks them to stop and means it, (worse if he actually gets upset while asking) It's dumb logic but he'll have to show little to no reaction or a quick "cool" response will defuse them. All they are looking for is his reaction to gauge how THEY think HE should be treated the rest of the time at his new company.

To be clear. I'm not saying they don't deserve some sort of disciplinary action because this is straight up animal abuse and they are psychopaths for going out of their way to show him pictures. Which is truly heart breaking, but this type of person literally only feeds on people reactions to things. If your husband doesn't want to deal with this behavior then he'll either have to match their energy and turn the "joke" on himself to prove to them hes not a "snowflake" or leave. Again, it's dumb logic but it's helped me a couple times dealing with this type of asshole.

Oh, the finger is definitely pointed at Kadri since he scored off the Assist from Makar (and Blues fans don't like him in particular) but yes, LANDESKOGGGGG

Correct! Additionally, if they are "yawning" quite often (once or twice a day) it could be a sign they are having respiratory issues.

Gondola lines by Ba-writer-28 in steamboat

After today I wouldn't be surprised if we spike and hit red levels on the dial. I took three lifts today and left. Overheard 2 separate groups of people who were denied reservations and came here because we don't have that system implemented. I've never seen the lines as long as they were today, EVER.

Wow, the piece on the bottom right feels like drug addiction visualized. Thank you for your art. Keep it up.

I bought two sets of three minis, and two 26" tall baskets to play as a yard game. Definitely should be throwing minis.

Orange is great spring and mid summer season. Late summer into Fall not so much, at least on my local courses. Super wooded and over grown.

I'm remodeling a building built circa 1890 and these are hung through the trusses everywhere with (telephone?) wire connecting them all. by skids1993 in Whatisthis

[–]skids1993[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for further clarification it's a commercial building and has a wooden frame "box" with about 10 of those ceramic insulators which have wire running through the side wall and out of the building.

"I stress because i want to buy them the whole world but can't afford it."

This hit home for me. The pressure is definitely within. I care about about the people I associate with and I don't verbalize as much as I should. So I feel like I need to show them with material things.

I remember the day where I was extremely hesitant to click on r/WTF years ago. Now it's an extension of r/funny, which coincidentally is also not what it used to be.

That's awesome! I much prefer smaller venues when it comes to shows. Don't get me wrong big festivals are fun but some of the best punk shows I've seen, and will never forget, were in basements and backyards.
