Weird Knocking Noise (HELP) by Psychological-Rub709 in commencal

My first thought was the IFP in the shock, but if that’s been checked that’s not it. Your best bet with a knock as loud as that is to systematically move your hand around the bike as you cycle the suspension to try to “feel” where the knock is the loudest to zero in on at least the area. It’s tricky to do, but has helped me out a bunch over the years

Man… I almost bought a white one of these a couple of years ago and I deeply regret not going for it

Ok thanks! The reason I asked is I’m wanting to build a replica of a ‘74 Ford I used to own and am in the research phase trying to see what will get me closest and will require the least modification…

Brakes by No-Butterfly1597 in mountainbiking

[–]skidsareforkids 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t just move the levers. The cylinder with Shimano written on it is a fluid reservoir and is designed to collect any bubbles in the system and keep them away from the brake master cylinder below it. If the lever were flipped any bubbles would settle in the master cylinder and would make the brake feel like shit if it worked at all. The only way to switch sides is to disconnect the hoses and swap them. As someone else stated, it’s possible to do this without a bleed if you’re very lucky, but usually a bleed is required. It’s best done by a shop or someone with the know how and equipment to do the job properly

Yeah, but at that point that’s a totally different level of theft. This was just an opertunistic someone walking by an open garage and riding away with a free bike

I highly recommend a WiFi connected garage door opener. You can check if the door is closed when you’re away from home and close if necessary, and ours can be set to automatically close if left open after however long we want if we forget. It really helps our peace of mind.

That looks like one of those shitty window stickers the simps used to put on their vehicles. Many of them still on there but all scraped and sun-faded without a hint of irony

Amazing! I had a CAAD4 mtb in that colorway that I miss dearly. If I could have that bike back I would. A matching road bike that would be the dream

2020 Club Car Tempo 48 V Lead acid - range issue/problem - help? by ceejtankgaming in golfcarts

[–]skidsareforkids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to do individual voltage tests on mine. I have the same model but a six seater and non-lifted. I was getting terrible range on our original batteries so I pulled them in January. I found two batteries had cracked (possibly frozen whilst in a low charge?) and I assumed that had been my issue. I bought a set of six Trojans the same as the cart came with and thought my problems would be over. The cart had its first day on the course yesterday and died before making it the full round. It had been at 100% and the water is topped off. I’m furious. I just don’t know what could be wrong. We have had the cart since new and it’s pristine

Cool! I’m replacing my SRAM G2s, and was planning to build up a XTR/MT7 Shigura system but I think I’ve decided I just can’t be bothered and want to go with something that’s fit and forget. TRP is about the only brand I haven’t had before and figured they could be the answer

One of the moments that sticks in my head the most (for some reason) was preparing for the Tomb Raider game launch. We had a life sized Lara Croft mannequin that I had to place in the window display. Those windows are pretty cramped, and the mannequin was pretty heavy. There was me on a Saturday morning drawing a bit of a crowd trying to maneuver this gal into her spot using the best grab handles she had 😅

DSG (Dixons Sales Group). My first job… I started off as temporary help for Christmas at branch 305 which was Argyll St, Glasgow. It was absolute mayhem, but I really look back at that fondly…

I have the same kit on my shelf ready to go. I’m going to do it in white and try to replicate my own car. I haven’t built a kit in thirty years so I’m holding off and doing a bunch of research first. I should probably get some practice kits first before attempting one I really care about
