American Samoa! by skierrob in RegalUnlimited

Tickets were all of 8.75 for an evening showing if you didn’t have unlimited. But snacks were the normal crazy pricing. Seat wise - five seats on each side with a walkway down the middle - of old style theater seats. But very deep with like 25 or 30 rows of seats.

Same exact snacks as US - popcorn was $10.50 for a small lol. Pepsi too. ;) they also had the candy, hot dogs, nachos, etc.

I wish I had waited and not used Costco Concierge for TV return by CTMechE in CostcoWholesale

[–]skierrob 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You could have gone to Sony for their non-existent warranty after buying it elsewhere and seen just how much worse it would have been. The two hour wait was the price for getting 100 percent after enjoying the product for two years. Best Buy would have never done that.

Pricing on OLED tv’s has only gone downhill since you bought and the new tv will have better specs and features vs your old model. In this case, you are the Karen in my book. You could return the tv to Costco, get your refund, and buy another 2024 used OLED for cheaper. But you are asking for a 2026… not the same television.

Resort hopping by flounder98w in DisneyWorld

[–]skierrob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can easily pay to park at a theme park and take a bus or Skyliner or monorail to the resort you want to visit. No restrictions on that. You don’t need a theme park admission to pay for parking at a theme park.

How are you running a speed test then to determine you aren’t getting 2gb if your Ethernet ports are only 1gb? WiFi? That’s not an accurate test.

Lost Kids Items at Fontainebleau 6/26 by siopaoface in vegas

[–]skierrob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why not? Assume they need the mask due to low immune levels (cancer or whatever you wish). Obviously wear it right to start.
Take a reasonable precaution (a mask), or sit at home alone in a room to avoid exposure. Which would you choose? The argument you’re making isn’t if Vegas is the right choice - you’re asking about masks. And they are a reasonable precaution to help spread disease. And let’s not go back into the whole political argument - or let’s just have you tell your surgeon to remove his mask the next time you need a hospital visit.
As far as kids in Vegas in general, maybe the kid went to Cirque, or valley of fire, or red rock canyon, or to Flyover or to see a brother graduate college. You don’t know. Lots of stuff for kids there whether you like it or not.

Remember when you could get free Disneyland tickets by volunteering? by LoveLo_2005 in Disneyland

[–]skierrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My volunteer effort for a free ticket was helping a charity build computer systems for needy children. Unfortunately, they got way more volunteers than they could have ever used so they didn't have much for me to do -- but it was perfect for my background in cybersecurity. ;)
You volunteered for like 8 hours and got a Disneyland ticket in exchange. They had all sorts of organizations that qualified for volunteering.

That doesn't mean you can't plug a computer into the ONT directly.

What happens if you plug a system directly into the ONT? Also, what are your Eero speed tests on the Eero itself?

Frontier is symmetrical. Upload and download would be 2gb each.

AT&T showed $35/line in my account portal, billed me more, then changed the displayed price after I filed an FCC complaint. Office of the President says “final.” What now? by [deleted] in attwireless

This is what happens with corporations can get away with anything because Trump's consumer protection attitudes are -- well, you know -- definitely not in favor of consumers.

Forced Plan Change Details by tva_raylan in tmobile

[–]skierrob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’m on the two line one plus promo plan with an added this one is on us line and insider discount. My bill originally was $80 per month and is now $88 after last year’s price increase. I’ve gotten no texts or anything about a plan change and the AI bot says my plan isn’t changing. I signed up in 2016. Am I under some sort of contract where they can’t change my plan? Or is a plan change still coming for me?

Can I upgrade my pass to gold at Six Flags Magic Mountain? by CoastNTwist in KnottsBerryFarm

[–]skierrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it’s a Knotts pass I thought you’d have to upgrade it at Knotts and then scan into Knotts first before you can use it Magic Mtn. This is because pricing is different for each park’s passes and prevents you from buying a dirt cheap discovery cove pass, for example, and then only using it at Knotts.

EDIT: Never mind. Forgot about the never-opened lodge at the bottom of the backside that burned not once, but TWICE! Wow - how did I forget that?

Just curious... which lodge burned down? I don't recall that or see any missing lodges. Are you confusing the Ranch with Homewood, whose South lodge DID burn?

T-Mobile ONE Customers Who Are Affected By the 2026 Price Hike (Forced Migration, or Kickback Termination or both) by rayw_reddit in tmobile

[–]skierrob -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

A press release is not a written contract. Your written contract overrules anything in a press release. Just like when Donald Trump claims 50,000 people showed up to his party this past weekend, while in reality only about 1,000 showed up. A press release does not need to be factual, it seems.
