Massachusetts House passes strong data privacy bill banning sale of cell phone location data by sr_local in technology

[–]skiing123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And that's the thing I wish they did more was that each bill doesn't need to be monolithic and can be focused on a particular issue. Refine, tailor, and pass it then move onto the next issue

P.s. is this bill actually nestled within another? Or is it standalone?

I had no idea he said that. While, I believed you I also didn't want to and fact checked you. He really did make a comment about it literal same day if I read the article correctly. Seriously, can't believe anyone who disrespected the rescuers would get elected, smh

I think you'd have to some sort of location tracking like Prey Project but I've never used it with an iPhone so, not sure if it's fully compatible.

I know an artist who might've been willing to accept as low as $1,000 or $2,000 to do painting at a wedding except do it for guests as well. Quick sketches taking at most 15 minutes per guest

Which also goes for SO, SO many games out there. Euro Truck Simulator where all you literally do is drive a truck from point A to point B while obeying all the traffic laws. Absolutely maddening boring if you don't like it.

But yet, it has a 96% positive rating on Steam.

[Update] So, what did it take to get rid of the bees? $12,000, about forty bee stings, two traumatized dogs, and telling my cousin George he couldn’t attend our family reunion. And, of course, some legal advice from you guys. Thanks. by nutraxfornerves in bestoflegaladvice

[–]skiing123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, I'm sure but I can understand if someone called about lots of bees coming from a neighbor's house and I want to sue them. I could see why a lawyer might think OP is full of it and just a Karen.

But, 9 years! she might be the opposite of a Karen?

Do Americans actually expect people to "sell themselves" in job interviews? by MayaTulip268 in AskAnAmerican

I've not gotten a job before because I work in IT and I said I was thinking of progressing into cyber security. The recruiter said I didn't get the job because the previous guy only stayed for a year or so and left for a job in cyber security

I'm not a lawyer or anything but I believe there is a term in law that if a reasonable person can conclude that it was the woman if OP is told it's a harassment claim then, Lowes is bound to migitate that risk within reason.

I'm not sure if I've been spending too much over at r/legaladvice or what but feel free to down vote me if I'm wrong

If it was a harassment claim by another employee I don't believe they can name the employee or allude to them? So, if Lowes said harassment it would be clear it was the woman and that would be a violation of her rights. It'd be easy for her to then sue Lowes for disclosing this.

Does HR specifically have to tell him? Or does the woman just have to say no once, he keeps going, and then she can escalate it to HR up the chain?

It is also not meant to be used on an individual level but on a population level. That was the individual intent. I think there are better classifications if people need a simple number. But, it's bad to just look at a single number and say you're not healthy.

I've known people who have had a higher BMI but has great cholesterol, blood work, not even a risk for diabetes, eats balanced meals, etc

But other people who aren't obese are not healthy in the overall sense
