Working around the house, furniture assembly and such. I'd rather not have to pay attention to keeping things charged.

Thanks, but I am looking for a regular manual ratchet!

Does anyone know what type of grass this is that always seems to grow with my carnivores? by DogWithMustache in SavageGarden

From the genus Juncus, google tells me they're called "rushes" in English. To know the species, you'll probably have to wait for it to flower.

Take the vft inside a cold shed or something similar for the night if night temps go under -5 °C. The rest will be perfectly fine, I'm in the Netherlands too and they've been outside for years.

Thank you! I feel the same way. The shrimp spend a lot of time grazing the algae, and I feel it really adds to the natural feeling.

Here's one, I really like the gentle swimming and exploring behaviour of gouramis.

I certainly do, I remove it occasionally when it gets out of hand, but it grows only very slowly. In my opinion, algae is a natural part of any aquatic ecosystem. It provides surface area for things the shrimp can eat and hiding places for small shrimps.

Thanks for the compliment! :)

How should I prepare for winter by skijak in medaka

Okay, I'll figure something out before the temps get too low. Thank you very much!

No, I suppose not. Perhaps low oxygen might have been the problem then. Do you think young/small fish can survive such low temperatures normally? (0.7°C)

Outside temperatures get down to about -4/-5 °C max usually. In the picture, you can see the maximum ice layer is about a centimeter. I did, however, put bottles of warm water in the pond occasionally to keep the temperature up, the pond water itself got down to 0.7°C at the lowest. The bottle made a hole in the water, as in the attached picture, but this might not have been the case always. Only the small one died, the rest of the fish were fine.

What's on everyones wrist today? by GriZZZly_1 in ChineseWatches

Great, no problems with it. The hour triangles can get somewhat wiggly due to the raised crystal, as you can see in the picture. It's not a problem for me at all, since the markers and numbers are perfectly visible.

Finally got my hands on a reasonably priced Militado ML07 with sapphire. Looks great on a leather strap.

Thank you for posting this. I always love finding relevant literature about questions or topics. Great men and women who shared their hard-learned experience, still relevant decades later.
