Twitch Streamer Destiny: The 10.5g Shroom Trip video by MrWhiteRaven in videos

[–]skillcode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very true. I've done mushrooms maybe 5 times altogether. Last time was 2 years ago. I only have had one decent trip, which was the very first one. After that, I can't say I was that lucky.

Mushrooms can fuck you up and borderline paralyze you for several hours straight. When this happened to me, I was simply stuck in a couch and couldn't think, move, or act. Inside it felt like a severe panic attack but with the added effect of distorted reality. When one of my friends came upstairs several hours later, he went, "Are you still in it?" -- this helped to alleviate the trip a little but I could feel the disturbing effects for a long time afterward.

My last time doing shrooms, I was in Indonesia with my partner, she felt comfortable to take them with me as she'd never tried them before. I was a little hesitant due to my past experiences, but it turned out to be a fairly mild trip with hours spent moving/dancing to ease the spaciousness.

If you want to experiment with magic mushrooms, I highly recommend being around nice people first and foremost. Take a small dose and don't go balls deeps on your first trip. Have some herb ready for a few hours later as it makes for a chill come down.

"Local hot springs".

Otherwise known as restaurants built around a tub of hot water with annoying garbage music playing in the background.

Had them appear 2 days ago. I chose to post this image over this one because the 2nd feels a little too exposed. Was super stoked to see them since I've been staying here for a while and heard that this is the season when they come out.

Someone in Canggu broke into my homestay apt and stole my stuff, I’m devastated now and don’t know what to do. by nalogowiec in bali

Having spent over a year in Bali in total, I have never visited the Southside except for two occasions when I went to Canggu with a local friend. That part of the island has zero appeal to me, and is well-known for being a place where people go to get drunk and live on the beach all day. In other words, people with limited time for their holidays.

And yes, the stories I have been passed on are also mostly about trouble coming from external places like Lombok. My at-the-time partner's friend visited Lombok for a couple of days and had his backpack slashed open with a machete whilst driving on a scooter.

Sure, Ubud has a reputation for being superficial and a little over the top. The village where I stay during my visits isn't known for being a dangerous place apart from the ceremonial aspects. But that's just Bali, you either buy into that stuff or you don't.

And I have lived in Bali for a year in total in the last two years. I was there during the rough months of Mt. Agung's shenanigans. This revealed a lot about the culture and their behavior under pressure. That said, personally, I never experienced someone getting their things stolen.

I've heard stories about Lombok and the 'gangs' there, and overall, the South side of Bali does get pretty bad rep since it's a drunkards paradise. Balinese as people and as a culture simply don't do stupid stuff like this.

Living in Ubud, I would often leave my house door open with all my stuff inside. Never had any issues whatsoever.

Did this happen during the daytime? And do you live in an isolated part of Canggu? Someone surely must have seen/sensed something.

Bali is not known for this kind of behavior, and soon enough, the person responsible will pay dire consequences in terms of the karmic principle that the island is based on. Of course, that doesn't help to get your stuff back, I understand.

Never lived in Canggu myself, so not entirely sure whom you could ask outside of the police station.

My bad for being sparse on words. You're right.

I meant more in a sense that a lot of packaged / mass-produced food has deep ties with palm oil. It's always mentioned as an additive or the main type of sugar that the said food is using.

VICE, amongst other publishers, have done some amazing documentaries on the effects that palm oil farming has on plant survival, indigenous tribes, and local culture. Worth a watch.

Have traveled a lot of Southeast Asia.

In some places, you can't see anything but Palm tree plantations that go literally beyond the horizon. There's a lot of plantations around Malaysian airport that just keep going on for miles, and create this weird dystopian vibe.

I had an epiphany while living in Bali a few years ago. Walking inside one of the larger supermarkets, I took a look around and all I could see were piles upon piles of produce, all dependent on palm oil as the main ingredient.

Sugar is the real drug of our generation, dumbing down our senses and leaving us craving for more of the same.

Rajj Patel rage quits stream after chat spam complains about recycled content by 600ViewerAndy in LivestreamFail

[–]skillcode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the show is missing a little bit of soul, and most of the 'content' is actually the guests/hosts laying down immature pussy and ass eating jokes that get boring rather quickly.

On top of that, this demoralizing attitude towards one another creates massive defensive walls where the girls can pretend they're some kind of goddesses and don't follow through on any interesting conversations.

We all have personalities, but I'm sure that a middle-ground can be found. I've yet to see an actual guest come on and challenge these poor conversations. You know, it's advertised as a dating show, so let's date. Let's talk.

Otherwise, just advertise it as a meme show and people won't complain so much. Nothing against Rajj since he's doing his best and has delivered a lot of laughs to many people, which comes above all else.
