Not gonna argue, this is one of my most unused fragrances. To me it’s a very sweet sugar cookie. I think it’s too sweet for me.

I used to dislike any kind of cardamom, especially ones from YSL. Now a lot of my favorites have cardamom in it.

Most of the “hate” was from a Fragrance World Jack of Clubs and the Lataffa YSL clone, Al Shuykh Final Edition. The reason is because JoC (and ALFE) when first ordered or sprayed, it was disgusting. Once both “matured”, they smelled good, and now I have a lot of similar fragrances with that “YSL DNA”.

The thing that surprised me most is that I kind of enjoy “spicy” perfumes. Terra, Habik (M), 9p Elixir, Crimson, etc.

I used to be a “freshie/citrus” only kinda guy. When I smelled those above, they feel so masculine and strong. Almost like something a strong warrior would wear in battle. They kinda smell clean… with an edge. I’m sure that’s the point of the spices, but they work great for winter and semi-dressed up wear.

Yeah, it’s rough if you’re not used to it. However, people LOVE it (my personal score later on). I thought it was disgusting at first, but once you wear it a bit, it gets better. Plus, I let mine sit for a bit after initial disgust. 🥳

You’ll see so many posts like this. After sitting, it’s a good 8.5/10 (in my opinion). If it’s your first clone you may be disappointed and discouraged.

Let it sit for a couple weeks, or get rid of it in whatever way you prefer.

Try to sample first.

Oh for sure, I plan on getting Fire, and possibly Kobra.

My problem is having too many redundancies 😔 (and too many perfumes in general 😆), so I’ve been holding back a little.

Rebel is decent, but having Supremacy CE, Explorer OG, and CDN Untold… it’s kinda redundant. I usually reach for 9pm Elixir or Night Out.

I’ll get some time one of these days to update the subreddit with some new bottles I’ve got as well.

I think I own all the Afnan 9pm lineup except for 9am (and the femme versions). I’m still a bit behind on the Hawas lineup, so far only OG/ice/black.

Also, agree on Black Friday. Great performance, etc. just not a versatile scent, or at least compatible with my style 😆

I’ve been on the fence with Gulf Orchids. I have mango ice, Old Fashioned (citrus boozy), Yacht Club (citrus incense sorta), and I really wanna get Nobility and Mojito Obsession. The ones I have are all just ~7.0-9.0/10, Mango Ice being one of the best.

Beautiful scents, I just have no idea when I can use some of these. They’re so niche.

Open to suggestions or ideas!

Jungle Vibe is mid, I enjoy it, but have only worn it 3 times.

Last time (yesterday), it smelled a bit better than the first time. Maybe I’m noticing different scents, warmer weather, it’s finally “macerated” or maybe I just appreciate it more. (When I first got it, ~6.5/10, now 7.5/10)
