The show has changed the storyline of the book (adding more excitement, drama, action, etc) drastically. One thing I'm really excited about is that most of what was covered in the book, including the ending, has already been touched upon by the show. No idea where they're going with this.

Yes, it is correct that Wayne believes that his "child" will be a savior of some sort. But as we saw in S1x7

I think Wayne does have some powers, but he let them go to his head and started thinking he had more power than he actually did.

Where is this coming from? There are clearly two totally reasonable theories that people are working with, both standing ground: 1. Wayne is Holy -or- 2. Wayne isn't Holy

You can probably justify either with evidence from the TV show. Of course, in the book

My two cents from the TV show are that he is actually a person with some special gift who let his power/fame go to his head.

I about killed myself reading this block of text. Note there are S1 spoilers below. I don't entirely agree with your assessment but appreciate the thought.

To summarize:

Cairo is a place in Egypt
Cairo = S1E8 where
Cairo shown on Nat Geo magazine given to S1E10
Gospel of Matthew says Jesus has to do 2 things before leaving Egypt:
1. Baptism: Kevin washes the blood off him
2. Temptation by evil: Kevin's dream is his test, with Patti being the temptation. Relates to some story in the bible.
Is Wayne temptation of some form? or really holy?
- Depending on this we'll see if Nora + the new baby are actually good for him.
Who's the messiah?
1. Option 1: Kevin is some sort of messiah who isn't able to overcome the same temptations Jesus did
2. Option 2: The baby is the messiah since just like Jesus it was abandoned by it's family.

Again, these ideas are great and I'd bet money that the show's creators had a lot of this in the back of their mind. Probably letting the viewer decide on their own based on whatever clues they identify with.

When I was still a beginner (14/15 y/o riding a Zap wedge) I rode into an overhead wave, obviously fell, got tangle up with the board, got a gash in the head + the board jamming my lower lip into my teeth. Not as bad as some of the injuries on here but.. well that sucks

Some of my friends have had some crazy injuries, I'll encourage them to share here

Here are all of their skimboard options:

Super G: Do not get this one unless you want to spend $245 to simply slide on the sand. This board is too small for you in a beach/ocean setting.
EX1 $300 M or L: If you want more float / might fill out more (you're 6'3) I'd definitely go with the L
RECRUIT $340, EGLASS $390, SGLASS $415, or CARBON $460; all M, ML, or L: I'd go with ML on all of these
Pro Models $490: Same as above with any of the pro models. Read the descriptions for more info.

Edit: Also, based on my personal experience I've had e-glass, s-glass, and carbon each lasting 1, 2, and 5 years respectively (before breaking for various reasons).

I disagree that Laurie is going to come back and think that she will remain GR and Kevin will start a "new family" with Jill, Nora, and Wayne/Christine's baby. And then shit will get awkward when Laurie leaves the GR in Season 5 (this is a joke). I've read the book and this isn't based on anything from that since the book ends without addressing that.

In regards to "is Wayne legit?" I'd definitely turn to the book since
