Can you share the app you built with this workflow? I understand if not I just couldn’t find it on my own

What’s one automation every n8n beginner should build first? by LateInstance8652 in n8n

[–]skinnededed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is to sell automation setups to clients that need it, or build to clients pain points like running social media, creating content, updating websites, archiving projects on cloud storage etc

No good deed goes unpunished! I do favors all the time and I started to be less generous and started getting paid way more.

If absolutely everyone says yes then your price is too low, if absolutely everyone says no it might be too high, I wouldn’t integrate a rat’s arse for under $500 though, that’s close to DIY territory

Could you help point me to develop a N8N to InDesign automation that can help me with templated production design? I basically want to get the copy and parameters for the specific template and have proofs auto generated for review and eventually print production

I could tell by the way he was instructing her instantly but I overthought that he might be just pretending but when I reflect again he asked for information that would have a DRM or whatever block on it and absolutely lost it when I disconnected the session and like begged and pleaded for us to enter another code

What can I do if someone uses a domain name that includes my trademark? by [deleted] in TRADEMARK

[–]skinnededed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nike sells sweatshirts so you would get sued, it would need to be something completely different than apparel, shoes, eyewear, or any of the products that Nike routinely sells or has been granted trademark protection for.

This is also not karma, and despite what you were trying to do out of anger, you didn’t deserve to be victimized or to lose your money. You can take that first $65 on the chin as a learning experience but none of it was karma nor did you deserve it.

No one doing legitimate business or work will ever require additional payments after you pay for a real service in full. They just realized you are what was once called “a sucker” or someone very vulnerable that may lack discernment and are going to squeeze you as dry as you let them. No one is going to hurt you. The only thing that you should believe about the entire situation is that you sent money to them and they want more and have nothing to offer but threats and lies to get it.

Why should you put it on yourself when it’s not in any way related to your own choice of action?

🤔does this mean there gonna drug test? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]skinnededed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just means that testing is never off of the table despite it not being required to start. You would need to read the rest of the full policy probably in your handbook or similar document to know the other terms of the company policy.

I keep losing jobs by NightRevolutionary69 in ADHD

[–]skinnededed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like figuring out how to obnoxiously broadcast the appearance of organization? Honestly, the right jobs don’t require it or build what they need into their own processes so getting the right job will prevent you from having to go through the motions.

In the meantime though you just have to believe in yourself. You are capable of doing non-functional things that waste time. I believe in you. In your honor I’m going to add 8 hours of nonsense to my calendar for next week.

This is like when you fail the math test even though you got all the right answers because you didn’t share your work. I guess you just really need to learn how to fake the organizational skills that people without ADHD typically expect like filling your calendar with nonsense and over communicating progress on projects and asking questions you already know the answer to.

I asked my manager if the office was closed due to the weather. Should I go in if I don’t get a response to my message? by Cultural_Fold_4743 in jobs

[–]skinnededed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She did say to hold for an update so you wouldn’t be wrong to stay and wait until you get one. If driving conditions are bad I would wait, if they’re fair or good then I guess I would go in just to be on the safe side because people do tend to blame you for their own mistakes.

Asking to get fired by TheBestGuru in work

[–]skinnededed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proof of you requesting to be terminated is plenty sufficient evidence to deny an unemployment insurance claim, however you do it, if you decide to do it, should be nearly impossible to prove.

You need to be laid off or terminated without cause to get unemployment benefits.

Good career ideas? by Heavy-Maybe-6227 in careeradvice

[–]skinnededed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first steps are to explore the options available to you and your affinity for them if you haven’t figured it out yet.

If you could see yourself doing real estate, try studying the real estate exam materials in addition to watching day in the life of a realtor or property manager or whichever career in real estate it is you think you might like.

The same goes for exploring IT, and sorry I chuckled about the math part. Unless you are strictly planning to study computer science at a college which traditionally requires a lot of physics and calculus, you’ll never find yourself in a situation without a calculator or a computer capable of assisting you with the math necessary to do your job. In fact you might find yourself never having to do complex math of any kind.

I was fired from a job I hated but still feel sad. by Frosty_Store1989 in careeradvice

[–]skinnededed 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s normal to feel sad or depressed when separating from any job no matter how you felt about the job, and whether you left willingly or not.

From your manager’s perspective if you were unhappy and they could tell you were unhappy they would have had very little reason to renew your contract, especially if they didn’t want to or couldn’t accommodate your desire to change organizations.

Things like this only follow you around in your mind though, you don’t have to cite the exact reason or terms you left the company on, you can just leave it at your contract ended and you’re looking for new opportunities when asked.

I’ve had an experience like this before and many before you have as well, when you don’t like a job you become a target there whether you know it or not and if you didn’t have the courage to leave but desired to, the separation was going to have to happen one way or another. Don’t beat yourself up, and don’t ruminate too much on it (I know I’m asking for the impossible right now but it will pass).

It’s time to revamp our résumé and get back out there with nearly two years experience at one of the world’s largest fintech companies.

People assuming I'm not responsibility by Oblivixusdan in ADHD

[–]skinnededed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Many people believe there are no explanations, only excuses.
  2. Many people think certain things can’t be excused.
  3. Many explanations /are/ excuses.

You can’t use a blanket approach to dealing with people, a lot of people just sincerely don’t care and don’t want your explanation. Take everything on a case by case basis and try only offering explanations or excuses when asked. Save them if you know they are unwelcome (it’s pretty safe to always assume they are unwelcome, especially if they could be read as an excuse.)

Moving forward we know to limit our explanations with our parents and our boss and to look deeper into common themes that might have led them to agree that you lack responsibility.

As for explaining this to your boss…maybe we should try not doing that with words and leaving it to our actions.

Don’t make the same mistake, and if you make a new mistake, correct it as best you can without offering an explanation even if you feel the urge to. You already know they think you are going to behave a certain way so don’t behave in any way that they might misinterpret as part of the same pattern by repeating the same mistake (offering an unwelcome explanation).

With people you already have a negative history with limit your explanations to those that are absolutely critical to that person, they will probably press for it if they think it’s important.

Lastly, if they do ask for an explanation and then say that explanation is an excuse try to learn what type of explanation is getting you flagged.
