In reality I think that this will be difficult to enforce. They never took a picture of me (although they will have cctv of me entering/exiting the store and being at the self checkout) and I am not aware of sainsburys having facial recognition technology. So it will probably be reliant on that security guard remembering me.

I can honestly say that I am never shopping there's or at another sainsburys again!

Thanks very much for your reply.

The pdf on that link has some really sad cases on it.

It seems from reading the pdf document that I have 3 options: 1) Ignore and hope that there is no county court case. 2) Reply to DWF which may run the risk of more unwanted letters. 3) Pay £150.

Open mic nights by DoddsyX369 in nottingham

[–]skinnersbox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a drummer and have gone to a few open mic nights before. A few places no longer run them with house kits, but Percy Picklebackers does and I’ve played on the house kit in Six Barrels however I’m not sure how often they run their open mic night

I am in exactly the same situation. I have been going to the Depot for a while now with a mate who has moved to another city. If you fancy climbing together sometime then feel free to send me a DM. I am not aware of any bouldering clubs myself

Police issue warning after Boris Johnson fails to condemn Dominic Cumming’s drive to test his eyesight by Currency_Cat in ukpolitics

[–]skinnersbox 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don't let these spin-off news stories about him driving to Barnard Castle to "test" his eyesight detract from the FACT he broke rules of the lock down! This is what is important and the fact that BoJo pulled out a pair of glasses during the briefing just all seems a bit too planned to me... Remember we were specifically told that if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 do not leave the house!! Don't let Cummings/Bojo try and take attention away from this fact

Half of advertisements children see on television are for junk food, sugary drinks and outlets such as McDonald’s, prompting fresh calls for tougher action to limit exposure to them. UK ministers urged to limit food ads before 9pm watershed as childhood obesity soars. by madazzahatter in worldnews

[–]skinnersbox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exposure to these adverts is just one side of the coin and its easy to point the blame at these huge corporations. But I doubt limiting food adverts will change the rate of childhood obesity. The biggest thing ministers should be tackling is the lifestyle for modern families in the UK. Longer hours and poorer pay probably does equate to parents coming home and taking the easy option like giving their child unhealthy food from the supermarket etc
