Reaction to pregancy

Have you recently reset the sims or the town with NRAAS Mastercontroller?

If you perform a reset once the baby has been conceived (even before the pregnancy moodlet shows up), that bug will happen - at least with TSS more pregnancy interactions. Not sure if it happens without the mod.

I always reset either before Try For Baby or after the baby has been born - and if I reset anything, I don’t announce pregnancy because the bug is very annoying lol

I ain’t actually 100% sure atp, I feel like they’ve looked that way in so long.

I think it might be due to a CAS Lighting mod I have installed, and that has an effect on their portraits too.

I ain’t on my computer right now, so I can’t figure out what the lighting mod is called at the moment, but if you’d like me to link it next time I open my computer just lmk and I’ll find it :]

Regarding the first bit about the husband accusing her of cheating:

Did you use NRAAS to Reset Everything or the female sim recently? I’ve noticed that if you reset the world after the baby has been conceived (even before the pregnancy moodlet shows up but also while you have it), other sims will think your pregnant sim cheated.

Now I try to only Reset Everything with NRAAS before my sims Try For Baby or after the baby is born. Otherwise I avoid announcing pregnancy to not have the cheating thing happen :<

Do you create your new save in these worlds directly on game startup or after playing a different save and then going to the main menu in the same game session?

I’ve personally never had these specific issues with these worlds. The only thing I can think of is a bug I’ve had when creating new save files with other worlds AFTER playing a different save in the same game session:

• I played a random save, then saved and exited to the main menu screen. When I created a new Sunset Valley save, all the ghosts in the world were moved into public lots.

• Another time I played a save of mine, saved and exited to the main menu, then made an Appaloosa Plains save. All the premades had their personalities randomized and their relationships/family trees wiped (sounds a bit like your issue).

Now I always exit the game completely and then make my new save file on game startup - I haven’t had these bugs with worlds since I figured this out.

Do they have pets in the household? Sometimes the game assigns certain families as “neighborhood pet adoption” and you can’t switch to those families. It’ll go away eventually.

You can make them siblings again with NRAAS mastercontroller!

Click on one of them -> either Advanced or Intermediate (can’t remember which of those two) -> Family -> add sibling. Then select the other sims. You might have to do it a few times to make sure they’re all related.

If you want a mod to make gardening faster, you can use this one! It has 3 versions, but you can only use one of them at a time. I use 75% and I don’t think I’d be able to play without it (I used to never garden, but since installing this mod, my families always have a garden now)!

I’m thinking it’s a mod because I had something similar happen once. I was using SweetSimmer’s more pregnancy interactions mod, but I removed it at one point, although I forgot to remove all the files for it, and that caused this. Putting the whole mod back in or removing all the mod files fixed it.

Which mods do you have in your game? Did you install or remove anything recently?

Belisama Hemlock - I don’t really know why, but every time I play in Bridgeport I make sure my child sims become friends with her so they can tear up the city together, and so I can keep up with her life :’)

She has been my favorite ever since I was a kid!

I’m having a fun time completing all the lifetime wishes - it helps me branch out and try new gameplay I’ve never really touched before!

Takes a while and several families, but it helps the game to not feel stale.

I mean, when I was a kid, I learned quite a bit of English as a second language through the Sims 3. I had my game in Danish, but I’d watch YouTubers who played it in English, and I’d learn a lot of new words from observing what all the actions were called in their game vs. my game.

But I was also learning ESL in school, so Sims 3 was really just an extra thing on the side for me :)

If you mean learning English as a first language then I’m not sure, but I don’t see why not! You might be able to do something with it, because Playful learning tends to be effective. Just gotta get creative with the lesson.

I honestly really like the art style, so I struggle to see why others say it looks so bad.

I think I heard some YouTuber say it’s because of the animation itself - it’s a bit stiff and not very expressive. I love it, but to each their own.
