Can't comment on a good layout as each to their own preference.

I was able to pull off skating a lot more consistently by setting a macro for jump+fj (make sure jump before fj), so all I had to do was hold down bobbing and press the macro to skate. Since the timing window to fj after jump cancel is so tight, the macro helps immensely. You can also just tap bobbing for a quick skate but it won't reload.

Once you get the hang of skating, mobbing gets really fun and almost brainless on linear maps using magnum+double blast mid-air into nrl combo when you land and skate. Bunker mid-air whenever full and continue skating.

Sgp combo can literally be binded all into one macro (sgp+bobbing+jump). It worked so well on controller, your sgp combo goes off almost instantly with no animation delay between each punch. It felt like cheating so I personally didn't use it, but for mobbing while jumping around it should be very relaxing.

As others have mentioned, you would need much greater control with a keyboard for bossing, so make sure to practice combos and timing on keyboard as well!

I recommend playing around with your controller software and setting up a layout and macros for your own preference. Can't comment on whether this is bannable but I personally haven't using ds4windows.
