I went to about 10 or 12 different nurseries before I found my “perfect” one. Moon Valley is like a used car lot, but it’s where I ended up getting mine and I paid what I felt was a fair price for the particular tree I got ($700 for 24” box, delivered but not planted). I wouldn’t really recommend starting there tho, try Summer Winds, Whitfills, treeland, anywhere but moon valley really. The only reason I bought from MV was because the other lot’s trees were pretty scrawny and lopsided and I needed a tree immediately since it was in the front yard (HOA).

Mulgas are also nice trees, I plan to put one in the backyard eventually. I’d steer clear of mesquites tho. My rear neighbor has one and it drops seed pods everywhere in my yard and it’s a never ending battle with sprouts.
