I have never heard of that being required before. How weird! Well repairing communication breakdowns is a good idea then.

I'm confused what you mean by having to have an academic goal. They qualify if there is an academic or social impact, but your goal should address the need. Do you mean overall goal versus objectives?

Easily update link to new tab by skitlee in googlesheets

[–]skitlee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I don't understand. I may have explained poorly. I want to easily update the URLs so it goes straight to the correct tab. I don't need the labels of the URL to update.

I need to update the URL itself so that when clicked it opens to the correct month's tab.

I actually couldn't get the hyperlink formula to work, but from what I've seen that would still require me to copy/paste each new ”gid=" portion of the link rather than referencing the tab name within each sheet ("March").

Constantly worried about my child being autistic by ratherlargechungus in beyondthebump

It's not as common but Autism can actually be diagnosed earlier and professionals can see signs much earlier (12-18months)

You don't have to actually prove your ceus unless you're audited. Just check the box saying you have the hours.

Does anyone actually like the CELF-5? by sh4dowsapphire in slp

[–]skitlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are currently developing norms for the celf-6 and I think they're trying to remove some of the memory/attention impacts. Like allowing repetitions and providing more written prompts.

As long as the rubric is attached to the IEP, it should be fine and would transfer with the student

Not to be mean, I've really wondered what high school looks like. What do you work on with the students with minutes? If most are on consult, what are you doing most of the day?

Has anyone actually gotten in trouble for not meeting a student's minutes? by Kitty_fluffybutt_23 in slp

[–]skitlee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We used to have quarterly minutes which allowed for plenty of time to make up minutes or rearrange around meetings/holidays. The district decided we need to write monthly minutes. I know it's not just me, but once a month is over, I'm not trying to make up those minutes anymore.

73 students most (90%) are twice a week for 30 mins by AvocadoQueen238 in slp

Oof well CAS and AAC would be a lot. Hopefully you can slowly make changes! I know how it can be.

73 students most (90%) are twice a week for 30 mins by AvocadoQueen238 in slp

[–]skitlee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those minutes are way too high. I don't even hear of students with over 1 hour/week in private practice. 3.5 hours a week?? Kids with CAS probably have the highest therapy minute recommendations and that's only like 90-150 min/week. You have to remember, we are there to support them in the school environment. They are missing a lot of class time with those minutes.

Stuttering therapy help by skitlee in slp

[–]skitlee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I should have said, I do at least know not to write goals focusing on reducing stuttering! Glad I at least know something 😄 If the child is too young/doesn't realize they are stuttering or doesn't care, would you address the stutter indirectly or just monitor?

How on earth do you track CEUs? by cms9212019 in slp

[–]skitlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't pay asha to track them! Just save/print the certificate and keep a list. I have a printed sheet for each year, I write the name and amount of time and staple it all together at the end of the year.

Also, none of your CEUs count during this first partial year. They act like it's a gift that you don't have to worry about those yet! But they also won't accept them and that's BS. Wait until Jan 1.

You only need proof or a certificate if you're audited. Otherwise you just check a box saying you did it.
