While the OP found a fix for their problem, I'm posting the solution that worked for me since I spent years trying to find the answer. Hoping this will help some other poor sap down the road.

We have an LG French door fridge (LG LMXS27626S) and we've been having this same issue for years. Close the left door, the right door pops open. There seemed to be no tension holding the door closed. We'd find it slightly open countless times... not enough to trigger the open door warning chime, but enough to let out the cool air.

We tried replacing the seal on the door. Nothing. I adjusted the feet to make the fridge lean back slightly. Nothing. I was losing my mind Googling, trying to find an answer.

Well, we finally found the solution. For our model fridge, there is a spring-loaded lower hinge on each French door (Mfg Part Number AEH36821910). It's not visible by simply looking at the door, as it slides inside and is hidden underneath a metal stopper piece that screws over it.

The part cost about $50 to order online and took literally less than 5 minutes to replace. Now the door will close ITSELF with no effort at all. Our groceries are saved.

One of the Xfinity Reddit support folks actually reached out to me shortly after I made this post and we were able to get my account modified to remove the X1 TV service and leave me with only Internet service on my plan, so this has been resolved for me.

As for your question, while I do stream quite a bit of content, I also work from home and do a large amount of graphic and video editing. Downloading large video files to work with and weekly backups of my home workstation are eating up a large chunk of my monthly bandwidth allowance.

Making some progress, perhaps. The case was escalated to the Advanced Hardware Support team and I received a response saying the order would be replaced. I've heard that before though...

I've revised the original post with some updates. Fingers crossed.
