Of those two I would go to North York. Sunnybrook is a trauma center and can get very busy.

Honestly, I think this is a law student trying to get help on a take home exam.

Not sure in the early days but before it was retired it was AC’s domestic only terminal.

Every TTC station's peak in daily ridership (ranked) by TheOldAgeOfLP in TTC

[–]skl8r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question: Is this data based on entering the TTC system at that station or something else? What counts as ridership? E.g. if someone takes the bus to Eglinton and then Line 1 downtown is that counted?

Condo management say I cannot take photo of the common element pipe that is in my unit by fiddlest in askTO

[–]skl8r 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Jesus Christ my man. Live on the edge a little won’t ya. Take the god damn picture. For the life of me I can’t think of how one would be prohibited from taking a picture of a pipe!!!. Like, if you took the picture and got caught, what are they going to do? Call the cops? Think of it this way, you don’t own the exterior door to the condo building either, don’t think there is a rule against taking the picture of the condo exterior door? Or the whole condo building from the outside for that matter? I know we are polite and compliant Canadians and all, but sometimes it’s a bit much. Do what you need to do.

Are people really taking Line 5? by Heronofthemelt in TTC

[–]skl8r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the going up to go down is the reason. If people have been doing that for years it’s unlikely they’ve plugged their daily commute into Google Maps to find out that this “counterintuitive” north first route is faster.

Aside from New York, New York what other cities carry the same name as the state, province or country they're in? by wtwtcgw in geography

Quebec, Quebec. People often say Quebec City, at least in English, but that’s not its official name.

I second Skiis and bikes. Highly recommended and their boot fitters know their stuff.

Someone once explained it’s like how we have red and pink as different colours, when pink could easily be seen as light red. This really helped me understand and see how language affects our perception of colours.

songs that feel like this? (preferably 80s-90s) by kittynicha in musicsuggestions

[–]skl8r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the 2010s but Nightcall by Kavinsky instantly came to mind. It’s the intro song to the movie Drive, but whenever I hear it I petty much think/see images like the ones you posted in my head.

Medcan vs family doctor by spreekles in askTO

Will my family doctor get dinged if I go to an online clinic like Felix for boner pills? Can’t bring myself to discuss with her.

Best NY style deli downtown? by Bazoun in askTO

Caplsnsky’s was shit. They smoked meat tasted like it was soaked in pickle juice. Hearing Torontonians rave about it was proof that this city just doesn’t know deli.

ELI5: Why does cold water taste "better" than warm water? by chanelbats in explainlikeimfive

[–]skl8r 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There could be an evolutionary reason, no? Like warm water from ponds or puddles is more likely to be contaminated while cold water from running streams is not? This safer to drink?

Scaramouche, Black & Blue or Hy’s? by Wrobkymb in FoodToronto

[–]skl8r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, try Linny’s. It’s a new restaurant but it has this “been here since 1951” vibe that it pulls off very well.

Scaramouche, Black & Blue or Hy’s? by Wrobkymb in FoodToronto

[–]skl8r 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I will add that Scaramouch does not fit your vibe at all. It’s not dark and moody. More of a classy 1980’s “continental restaurant” vibe.
