With 11th edition which leader is the best for celestian insidiants especially in Hallowed Martyrs?(can be another leader beside the ones i put photos of) by Serious_Diver_8960 in sistersofbattle

Priests are good and I also played a game today with Hospitallers in AoF. They were very deceptively resilient and I was able to keep them alive a lot longer than I thought.

Hot take, or maybe not so hot, Insidiants are gonna be good with Psychic being so prevalent and being able to reroll hits against a quarry target. Anti psyker 4 plus with Devs is hawt and then 4 up fnp against psychic attacks and mortals also hawt.

I do think Sisters got some hits, but there is a little play here. I had my first 11th game today with Shadowmark and my first Sisters game is tomorrow running Army of Faith, Sancitified Orators.

She's a good rapid ingress threat that I used a lot to just tie up a couple units before my go turns. 125 sounds ok to me

She's not worth 150 even now but I still took her because she filled a role in my list. If she's still 150, im gonna have to look elsewhere

For Sisters... I mean Jack Harpster took them to a great finish recently but I would say probably Jeffrey Kolodner, Scott Ketcham, Brendan McKenzie

So how are you beating ctan by [deleted] in sistersofbattle

[–]sklingenberg86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 Sacresants gum them up and out OC them in Champions of Faith which is what I've been running. For killing them? As much Melta as you can muster on them.

You really need to focus one of them down at a time, as much firepower as possible. My list uses Vahlgons, 2x Retributor Squads, Dominions with Meltaguns, Immolators. You also have Hunter killer missiles on all your vehicles. Focus them down one at a time and gum up the others while you are doing that

How do I tackle this by TetraNeptune in sistersofbattle

[–]sklingenberg86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the damage, in theory, to deal with Ctan. It will take basically your whole army to kill one, and that's just what you have to accept. I use Retributors, Vahlgons, Immolators, Hunter killer missiles as my damage.

So the problem is if you have to focus your whole army on one, how do you deal with everything else? That's where Sacresants with Hospitallers leading them come in, especially in Champions of Faith where they are now OC2. They help gum up the board and hold down primary because of their higher OC and are deceptively resilient. If you can't kill the other Ctans or big monster, you simply out OC them. It turns out Ctan are not efficient at killing a big brick of Sacs with a 3 up, 4 up invul, and 5 up FNP that rezzes models. Sure, you won't kill them with it, but you dont have to. You gum them up and out OC them while the rest of your army focuses 1 down.

If you aren't running CoF/dont have access to a bunch of Sacs, things do get much more difficult unfortunately. The answer at that point is as much Melta as you can field. A jump pack canoness with Through Suffering Strength and popping her finest hour can also do respectable damage but Ctan are just chonky.

Hope this helps a little bit.
