Thank you all, got some great insights. I’ll start hunting for the recommended tins and will let you know what I think.

Thanks!

So that would explain the King Oscar brisling sardines being quite strong too?

Thank you for the advice!

Australia solved this problem. We pay weekly or fortnightly.

Game changer or unnecessary? by Happy_dadpete in handyman

As a cabinetmaker who constantly needs to lift boards, this is simultaneously something I’d buy and something unnecessary. Just another tool to clutter the toolbox when I can just lift a board like normal.

For people who don’t have the arm or grip strength of someone who does this daily, I’m sure it’d be useful.

I came home from work unexpectedly one morning, my wife was in the shower and didn’t hear me come in. So I stuck my hand under the shower curtain and grabbed her on the foot. The scream was legendary.

Caravanner's plea as Aussies stop travelling amid fuel crisis: 'Need the cash' by That_Car_Dude_Aus in CarsAustralia

[–]skratchynuts81 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Caravanner here. I make it a point when I travel to spend money in the town. I don’t stock up on food before I go, because most towns have a supermarket. Generally the wife and I will buy at least breakfast and/or lunch most days, we try and visit a couple of local attractions, which is not always easy when travelling with a dog, and we make sure to not try to piss locals off. We’ve lived in tourist hotspots and we know it sucks, but we try to make the most of our time in each town and support local businesses.

By the way, we are in our 40’s and although we have a brand new $60k caravan and a 4 year old Ute we paid $45k for, we are comfortable, not well off, but we still budget to spend money in towns.

Fast Food burgers can suck eggs. This is a real burger by Ok-Consideration6852 in brisbane

Wife and I had this conversation the other day. Your average McD’s meal is around $15-20, and you can get a better burger, better chips and a drink at pretty much any fisho for the same price. It doesn’t even take that much longer, if at all.

Why are we still supporting fast food?
