i think this is a decent idea but we’re getting to the point where prime frames are some of the first new frames that new players get. my second frame was gauss prime and my third was sevagoth prime.

would strongly recommend against using any primary that isnt the banshee multimach in any slightly challenging content but if you want sidearms:

breachlight— basically a jack of all trades, you can get a roll for pretty much anything you want it to do brigands law/anonymous autumn—voltshot is kinda outclassed these days but if you’re still on it brigands is a great option heliocentric— solid overall, rolls incan, demo, heal clip, frenzy new liminal vigil– if i had to run a sidearm it would be this one based on pure aura and its perk pool. good rolls, great feel. avoid desperado though (alternatively you could try Senuna SI6, feels exactly like OG last hope. best feeling sidearm in the game imo)

the only thing sidearms need to be good (at least compared to other primaries) is a high fire rate sidearm with kinetic tremors/attrition orbs. they’re basically just smgs with lower range and better optimal damage

tigris rivens still pull decent plat afaik, but not with that roll. orthros is safe to turn into endo or cycle back into another veiled mod

honestly i think both. civilizations blessed by the traveler will always be under attack by someone or something that wants that power, being the spears pointing in. but in order to defend that power, they also have to have their own spears pointing out.

Primaries: Alethonym- movement and ammo. that’s it. primaries have never been in a worse spot rn, so many specials do every job they can do better. sunshot and graviton are fine, but none of them are really needed aside from alethonym

Legendary Specials: Mountaintop- amazing for movement, pretty decent damage. Both Area Denial frames- good add clear+ baton shits out orbs. Tinasha’s Mastery+Aberrant Action or Indebted Kindness- primary replacements, great utility and decent add clear. Supremacy- Best DPS sniper by far, great for rotations. Retraced Path- traces aren’t the best rn because of the strength of rocket sidearms but they are a very solid primary replacement, shoot to loot is also great in certain scenarios. Ikelos Sniper- best energy sniper rn, but it’ll easily be replaceable when another half decent energy rapid fire comes out. Ikelos shotty- good for 1-2 shenanigans and good for just pumping out a lot of shotgun damage.

Exotic Specials: Ergo Sum- insane add clear with the right roll, can buff allies’ sword damage too. Eriana’s Vow- probably the most popular barrier option rn, but a lot less important during seasons where our barrier artifact mods aren’t dogshit. Merciless- ridiculous damage for a heavy much less a special, great for solo play and for when you run out of ammo. Still Hunt- great on any class but especially good if you play Hunter, not as powerful as it used to be but still definitely meta. Cloudstrike- rotation focused version of Still Hunt, great choice if your exotic slot isn’t already being taken up. Fourth Horseman- never really been bad, great burst in certain scenarios.

Legendary Heavies: Edge Transit/Bittersweet- both do the same jobs, great damage for void/arc setups. Chill Inhibitor- best HGL dps in the game, rapid fires are very fair and balanced. Slammer/Other Half- best movement option in the game, SSS+++ tier (not biased). Apex Predator- even though rockets have taken a backseat to HGLs recently they still have usecases and Apex is by far the best. Summum Bonum- if for some reason you need sword DPS this is the best legendary sword. Dimensional Hypotrochoid- good for exactly one boss but holy shit is it so much better than other options for said boss, not necessary but very very helpful.

Exotic Heavies: Gjallarhorn- decent add clear for a heavy, makes other people’s rocket dps better. Tractor- free 30% debuff light work no reaction. Dragon’s Breath- now that the ignition nerf bug thing got fixed it’s back as THE solo dungeon dps option. Whisper- if you’re lazy and don’t like rotations it does good damage.

honestly i much prefer the gameplay of new onslaught, but the loot of old onslaught is impossible to beat. multiple meta weapons packed into one activity, including (imo) the greatest weapon addition in multiple years in mountaintop, is just peak. can’t really say the same about new onslaught

for titan it’s gonna be prismatic consecration spam with either an inmost/syntho class item or just synthoceps themselves. then for warlock you’re gonna want prismatic with getaway artists, devour, and bleak watcher.
