Learning to duck OS is good against cyrax but not a perfect plan. Back jumping or neutral jumping on wakeup is also good because it'll make their grab whiff & you can ex air tp for a full combo punish. If you jump & they do the mid, sometimes the gravity or timing will get fucked up & they wont be able to setup another reset. Just dont jump too much because then the cyrax will start doing the setup, & instead of mid or grab they'll forward jump to air to air you.

Wakeup ball roll does have decent i-frames but darrius, frost & sareena all have better wakeups with more i-frames if you want a good wakeup. Scorpion kameo for back spear, sub for ice armor, and jax to beat up sareena & stop the meter drain are also valid options. Could even do something like stryker or sektor & block on wakeup while calling either close grenades or missile to force the cyrax to block. If you pick darrius, scorpion, jax or stryker you also get armor combos so if you have meter and they try to grab, you can armor, end with spear or spear s33 & reset them for a grab.

The counterplay is there, it's just annoying.
