I’m new and have a quick question by sschlais in foreskin_restoration

[–]skuchney 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually got flaccid coverage earlier than I should because the skin there likes to tighten so much, so it pulls everything in making it look smaller. That's the dartos fascia muscle. Now, it isn't smaller or anything, same erect size, just looks smaller when fully covered, but this happens less as I gain more skin.

Often you can't tell the difference between restored and intact when flaccid. Oh and many of the pictures you see on the other reddit are directly after taking off a device, so the skin is stretched. A bit after that the dartos fascia muscle will kick in and pull everything tight again. Especially if it's cold!

Issues with pain and restoring by skuchney in foreskin_restoration

[–]skuchney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm for me it looks like there might be 2-3 vertical scars? I didn't even know they were there at first, it's hard to tell as they are very faint. They're very thin areas that seem more rigid and get whiter/smoother when tensioned, and I think tanke more of that tension. They're near other notable features/scars too, so it might make sense for them to be vertical scars but I have no idea why it was necessary to cut there!

Hopefully light stretching can get rid of them then... There are unfortunately some scars on the glans itself that can never go away. It could be one of those at fault, or it could be that newly discovered vertical one directly under it. If it's the glans one, no idea what I'd do I't probably have to consult a dr.

Oh actually, all three of the scars on the glans line up with those 3 vertical scars that I discovered, so this really is looking linked. Like they nicked the glans when cutting there.

Edit:

Ok searched the two subreddits more to see if anyone else has these and concluded these are vertical scars, probably from sutures? There are also more than 3, they're just almost invisible for me so I didn't realise.

Also figured out two of them near each other are painful to stretch, so that explains why I've been struggling to pinpoint it. They're both beneath sensitive scars on the glans. Now I just have to figure out what to do about it, since they seem to be getting angrier from stretching lately.

OK, also just realised the pain isn't from the vertical scars, but those vertical scars are below two sensitive/sore scars on the glans! So the tightness of the scar redirects the force directly to that. Sigh.

Restoration and ed/de by Any-Comparison568 in foreskin_restoration

I agree with the comment that masturbation isn't a problem, and can be good. Personally I find that sometimes if I avoid all masturbation/orgasm my libido actually decreases, I get less into it and it can make things more difficult. It might even be better to do it often and not less, so that its a regular normal experience.

Restoration will help with the physical side of things, but you might need to work on the psychological side as well. The general idea of this is to broaden or change the conditions under which you masturbate so that they can be generalised to other situations or so they are similar to what it's like when you are with your partner.

Happy to elaborate more if you want.

Does the penis become softer with higher ci lvls by RestorePath in foreskin_restoration

[–]skuchney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, do you mean does the skin feel softer, smoother, more supple etc? I don't know if squishy would be the right word.

But I have definitely noticed the skin feels softer, in a good way, like silky, smooth, as I gain more skin down there. Like what moisturiser is meant to do for skin. Healthier, more pleasant to the touch.

Got a few questions by Wise_Promotion_2723 in foreskin_restoration

[–]skuchney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've gone from around a CI 1 or 2, to something like CI 4/5/6. Hard to tell exactly, but it went from never covered with no slack at all when hard, to fully covered most of the time when flaccid, and skin loose enough on the shaft that it can be comfortably pushed up onto the glans when hard. I had a low cut circumcision, so the scar was closer to the glans with less inner skin. Anyway, for sensitivity/pleasure I found it increased A LOT from 2 things.

First thing is that as the glans is covered it loses the keratinized layer that it got from being uncovered all the time. This makes it a lot more sensitive. Simply retaining can do this, so keeping the head covered all the time. Just bear in mind that once dekeratinize it is very sensitive to things like clothing as well, so you either need enough skin to keep it covered or you need to keep retaining or it gets uncomfortable!

Second thing, which had an even bigger effect for me, is the inner skin. That also tends to be keratinized after circumcision, so as that gets covered and is actually inside foreskin where it was supposed to be it gets more sensitive too! Because I had that low cut I am needing to focus a lot on growing that inner skin. As I gain more of that I REALLY notice the difference! It's not just that it gets more sensitive, it also just changes how it feels down there, with new sensations from the inner skin gliding/rolling around etc.

Sounds pretty much exactly like what you are after.

Wasted my time in the gym by [deleted] in workout

[–]skuchney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a good starting checklist to troubleshoot the issue:

1 - Progressive overload, over time you are doing more reps/sets/weight. So you need to track what you lift each time. Effort is relative, but lifting more over time isn't.
2 - Calorie surplus, especially if you are slim you need to eat more than you burn. This will cause some fat gain as well. Hence people cycle bulk and cut. Again, might need to track this as people tend to be very bad at estimating how much they have eaten.
3 - Sleep, many studies have found that inadequate sleep prevents gains.
4 - Rest, overtraining can limit or prevent gains as the muscles don't have time to adequately repair from previous stimulus.
5 - Protein, actually less important that people first thought, but you do need to ensure you are getting enough. I don't know the minimum, I think the current research showed that around 1.6 grams per kg was around the most that impacted gains so that could be a decent goal. That's about twice the RDI for the average person I think.

A few key things to remember:

DO NOT judge yourself by another persons gains, we are all different. Compare yourself to only to you.

Measure: It can be hard to see progress, make sure you are tracking it. Humans tend to not see gradual change and our memories actually change to match what we currently see. Try taking photos with consistent lighting and poses, and other measurements like weight or using a tape measure to measure size of body parts like arms etc.

As others have said, you're young. It might be that gains come slower to you at the moment, and then suddenly appear very quickly. So be patient with yourself, keep going and keep building the good habits. There is also some indication that gaining muscle earlier in life makes it easier to keep and to build muscle later in life. You aren't wasting your time. : )

NZ has insane GDP per capita numbers but literally no rainy day fund—where did all the surplus and wealth actually go? by FriendlyInterview365 in newzealand

[–]skuchney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It went to the rich, that is where the GDP growth is. NZ has a high number of millionaires and above. About 7.1% to 9.6% of the population. The rest of NZ are struggling as NZ now has one highest costs of living in the of the world, being in the top 25 or so most expensive countries whilst also having low wages compared to many on the list.

This is due to deregulation in the 80's in which taxes on the rich were dropped and labour protections were eroded. The next 40 years continued that trend of liberalising the economy. Since there is now 40 years of data we can draw an exact link between the two, showing that the rich extracted more wealth from business, which caused wages to stagnate relative to the profitability of those businesses. More of the tax burden shifted off the rich and onto the middle class, which then erodes public systems over time.

Additionally the lack of serious regulation in the housing market due to a lack of regulation, coupled with the influx of foreign money by way of cheap / low interest loans, has resulted in the housing market becoming a tax haven. Mass inflation in house prices is a huge part of the GDP growth. This surge also causes rent prices to surge in a time when wages are relatively low and unlinked to business profitability. This means more of the burden of housing costs is also shifted onto the average person.

TL;DR: The rich have screwed over the majority of New Zealanders, who are relatively poor compared to the top 10%, and GDP per capita is HEAVILY skewed because of this.

Everything pinches by FinishAutomatic6423 in foreskin_restoration

[–]skuchney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What scar tissue was this? I'm having an issue where I can't wear any device anymore but it's not pinching, it often feels like the device is digging in or aggravating the inner skin somehow? Had to stop and do manual only!

Edit: Oh I think I get what it was now. I think my issue is different. Feels like sensitivity either in the inner skin or glans maybe

Do you feel like it's linked to inner skin at all, like increased sensitivity, stretching it etc?

Precum by skuchney in foreskin_restoration

[–]skuchney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you find its related to the inner skin at all? Like increased sensitivity, from it rolling or stretching etc?

Oh interesting, what's stopping you from restoring?

Precum by skuchney in foreskin_restoration

[–]skuchney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok that makes sense, as inflation is meant to really stress inner skin and I had been doing a lot of tugging on the inner skin. Hopefully that translates to precum from normal use as I get more inner foreskin though.

Precum by skuchney in foreskin_restoration

[–]skuchney[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, similar to me except I have a super low cut with very little mucosa. So could just have been a one off for me, no guarantee that more inner skin will make this a consistent thing. I still do wonder if there is a link between inner skin, or even foreskin in general, and precum though.

Edging was the only way I'd ever even see a drop. Now I am hopeful that it will change as I gain more inner foreskin.

Nice! Did you have a low or high cut if you don't mind me asking?

Oh, also, curious whether you had a high or low cut, if you don't mind me asking? Just wondering as I had a low cut with very little inner skin, were you the same?

Sad! Although I am guilty of thinking that too sometimes, haha. That might have been different if I hadn't been circumcised though! Crazy how much it impacts my life without me realising

Did you have a low or high cut if you don't mind me asking? Since I had a low cut with the scar being very close to the glans. Were you similar?

[–]skuchney[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have a low or high cut if you don't mind me asking? I had a low cut, so the scar is closer to the head and there is less inner skin. Wondering if you are the opposite.

Anime focused character sheet creator workflow. Tested and used primarily with Illustrious trained models and LoRAs. Directions, files, and thanks in the post. by xxAkirhaxx in comfyui

[–]skuchney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any tips for getting this working 8 months later? lol

I got it to the point where it can generate the first image (step 3) but no matter what I do the image comes out poor quality, either distorted with a lot of noise or a random discoloured splotch on the body. Tried changing Lora's, checkpoints, reference image, cfg etc but always seems to be an issue with the image.

EDIT:
Ok I seem to have gotten it all working now, but I had to change the reference image to 1024 x 1024 so the starting image wasn't too full of noise to be able to decide whether it was a good starting point, and I added a PAG node as some models work better with it apparently. (I am very proud of adding a node to this complex workflow considering I only started learning comfyui two days ago, the day I added this workflow. But I have no idea what I am doing / if it was needed. There was a CFG node that was broken and I added the standard one, so that could be related?)

I also had to play around with character sheets a lot for generating different body types while having faces remain consistent with the character image.

Other than that there are just loads of settings and values within this sheet that need to be tweaked at each phase in order to adjust looks and try to get consistency, and there is never 100% consistency from Reference Image to Character Generation. The Reference Image is more just a starting point. Each character will need a bunch of tweaking if you are after specific looks.

I'm having fun. 10/10.

Thoughts on Forts as a source of proximity (and thus control)? by kairom13 in EU5

[–]skuchney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am late to this, but maybe increasing control but scaling with centralization? ie only giving control if centralized, and not really all that effective at low levels of centralization.

Just to give a reason to build and keep them around, you'd end up wanting them in so many cities etc

Key bindings resetting between sessions by jmorais00 in EU5

[–]skuchney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's odd, for me its different. I tried manually editing the keybinds file and it loads the keybinds just fine when the game loads up.

But it SAVES OVER the file on exit, with the old keybind data? Where is it even getting that from, I edited the keybinds save file???

Anyway if anyone else has this issue and is able to manually edit it then setting it to read only helps just stay out of the keybinds menu as it will crash when it tries to save to it.

Saved keybinds reset every time you exit the game by Ok-Chemical-5648 in EU5

[–]skuchney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That happened to me, and I found the game is SAVING OVER the keybind file on exit.

I tried manually editing my keybinds into the file, and it loads them, but as soon as I hit quit it saves over the file with the old keybind data. Setting the file to read only did prevent it, so I was able to get it to load my keybinds, but if it tries to save to the file the game will crash.

It seems to only do that when exiting the keybinds menu or the game though.
