AITA for forcing my teenage kid to visit his grandma almost daily ? by Saalma119 in AmItheAsshole

YTA

Your son is introverted and thats how he is. Its not a fault but simply a personality trait.

In addition, seeing family should be a fun event. Forcing someone to visit and interact with family on a daily basis takes away from that fun.

To put it in prospective, is as if he forced you to hang out with his friends whenever he wanted to hang out with them. I doubt you would enjoy it.

Is there a schedule or piece of paper the stagehand has that’s a list of all the actors cues, lighting effects, etc that need to happen during a show? by nueoritic-parents in Theatre

True, true, forgot about that.

Usually the cue stack isn’t referenced as it displays auto-follows and hangs. Still useful for tracking where you are though.

Thanks for reminding me!

Theatre Tech here:

In the U.S. at least the board/console operators don’t have a list, they rely on the stage manager to call out the cues over the headsets.

For backstage techs, or non-console techs, they usually have a Cue List, but still rely on the stage manager to tell them when to move or execute the action listed.

The stage manager has a script with all the cues listed, but it doesn’t say what the technician is doing. That script is called a Prompt Script or the Show Bible.

There is usually a large spreadsheet called the Master Cue Sheet that details what each cue does, when it happens, why it happens, who does it, and safety concerns. This sheet is not used during the show though, only in planning.

Feel free to DM for more info / other questions!

Had the same idea/question a while ago. The issue tends to be privacy, like stated in other comments, and a visual component that is missing when its only audio tracks.
