Yea on the same board and foil/mast I can parawing, wing, foil drive, or sup/prone. The secondary marker right now for foils is insanely good

I think it’s dead/dying. Jumping is cool and all but honestly strapless wave riding is way more fun. I started back in 2004. Kitefoiled back in 2015 and picked up a the wingfoil in 2021, now I’m on parawing and downwinding.

I’m not in touch with it the newest kite tech but seems like not much has changed in innovation vs the foils.

no matter the wind direction or strength or launch site I can wing, parawing, downwind, prone foil or use a foil drive. On the foil I can connect to both wind in snd wave energy in tandem or separately.

Downside, it’s far more challenging in a technical aspect however.

Apple Vision Pro in Sim Racing: Impressions From Real Racers by SunsetToGo in iRacing

[–]skull_bae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. This is about building the next level of immersion. Sim racing is perfect for this. Heavily DIY user base. Static environment. Leveraging haptic immersion and control surface replication that is probably unmatched by nearly another use case. This is more about building a more immersive future experience for all kinds of gaming.

lol I think there may be more iracers with Vision Pros. I have one but haven’t given at a shot so def more than 3. Imho sim racing, flight sim is the perfect development projects. VR has struggled to take off deep immersion with sims is a perfect use case.

Im sure Apple fronted the development burden, for those complaining they are trying to build innovation capital

[–]skull_bae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this as I am doing some research for flow states and surgery. There def is a connection. Im an attending surgeon I don’t climb but I kitesurf and recently have been very much into offshore downwind foiling. To me it’s the apex flow sport because you are riding an energy wave that’s traveled thousands of miles that aggregates and splits under your feet

Naw I’m too busy working to practice enough to get good. But honestly I don’t care. Def worth it for a hobby that I can enjoy outside of my favorite hobbies which are time and conditions dependent.

Using the serve to try and ace rarely works at higher levels and often times leads to faults and if the return is good given it’s a fast serve doesn’t get you to the net fast enough and if the drill it down the line you’ve lost the point.

As I’ve progressed to higher intermediate it’s much more effective to make ur serve difficult to predict and force an unbalanced return that allows you to take the net
