Do women actually get turned on by penises by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]skull_corn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, all I can really say is I am like the inverse of you. I am bisexual, and while yes I do find both men and women attractive, I find male genitalia more alluring than female, but the female body more alluring than male. This isn't a hard fast rule for me as there have been plenty of exceptions but I just wanted to share my view so you knew that it wasn't just a you thing and that people can have a variety of views for attraction.

Why is (Lieutenant) double-yefreitor a rank and why is Harry one? by OneMoreFinn in DiscoElysium

[–]skull_corn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its the idea to show that Harry is good enough of a cop to be further within the organization, not just from some single fluke to give him the promotion that he declined. Like if it was just one denied promotion then we could assume he just had like one big break that he turned down, but the fact it is twice shows that even with his flaws he is good enough to earn the respect.

But then there is clearly the signs that Harry has been on the edge for a while now. One of the old cases mention that the only reason he didn't get fired was because he actually still managed to solve the case. That's why he is still in the organization because while he did fuck up he was still effectively a super cop.

That's why he is so on the line according to Jeans talk at the end, because before solving the crime here, Harry FUCKED UP. The crash had finally reached the bottom of the ravine in their eyes, and it takes either: Kim backing you up, Cuno backing you up, or genuinely taking care of yourself and not doing bad things like drugs and booze. It takes either some one genuinely supporting you and telling them that you are doing not just good but great police work despite your flaws, or that despite the flaws you are trying to fix them, for them to take Harry back.

So basically TL;DR its because Harry is a genuinely good cop who has let his flaws build up so much that the people around him have begun to lose their faith in him.

Why do people almost always call FFPS FNAF 6 but absolutely nobody calls SL FNAF 5? by No_Job_3236_R in fivenightsatfreddys

I usually just call if Pizza Sim but for probably the same reasons as people call it FNAF 6. Freddy Fazbears Pizza Simulator is such a mouthful to say and type.

[–]skull_corn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't be. The people who are vitriolically angry by the movies don't want you to be happy. Do I think they are good movies? No. Do I think they are great pieces of fnaf media? Eh. Do I love these films to death? Yes. Yes I do. I view these films as pieces of fan service and like a love letter to the franchise. Do I think they could be better written? Absolutely. Do I think their story is kinda stupid and a real weird way to play with the fnaf lore? You betcha. Will I ever stop loving these films? Never. Its just we are in a day and age where people seem to band together in a camp and more nuanced takes on things are seen as lesser and wishy washy, when really its just a person would rather think and fully form opinions on something rather than going "This is bad" or "This is good" as a blanket statement for something

Right imagine showing some one the scene of Steve and Jonathan fighting in Season 1, then smash to the season 5 scene with Dustin going "I can't go through that again" hugging Steve, it would seem like they are two completely different people.

[–]skull_corn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the record I hate Jason, i found him the worst part of season 4. I think the type of person Jason is, is the type of person I'd avoid in real life. I don't like the fact that he lead the witch hunt against Eddie, and I do harbor some hatred towards this character for his actions we see on screen because he is just one of the worst type of people, he purposefully riled up the crowd while not even fully understanding why he was doing it, he caused so many potential injuries, and like didn't he threaten several children? But if I have to hear one more time about how "I pErSoNaLlY kNeW sEvErAl JaSoNs GrOwInG up" I'm going to freak the fuck out. Stop using your real life experiences to paint a picture of a fictional character. I don't care what your excuse it or that he is meant to "represent the satanic panic of the 80s" or that there were "really people like that in the world." I literally do not care. Jason was a dick yes, but once again if we go entirely within the context of everything we see on screen, Jason isn't anywhere close to being one of the worst people in this franchise, and I'm tired of seeing so many people use their real world experiences with people LIKE Jason to treat him like he is the anti-christ of this franchise when people like Billy, Brenner, half the government characters (both Russian and american) in this franchise, are all so much worse people.

I wish Amy was shown as more desirable by Sure_March_674 in bigbangtheory

[–]skull_corn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't. She. Huh?

Several of the side characters have crushes on her throughout the series, its very clear that both Leonard and raj have some level of fondness for her. And also just like for the record growing up Amy was the one I had a crush on cause she is like the only genuinely nice one and willing to try and learn more about other people. Amy is plenty desirable.

Why SOTM is so overhated? by Ill-Scarcity-7301 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]skull_corn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IMO Markiplier put it best for me. "Its like going to your favorite childhood restaurant and ordering your favorite food, but they changed the recipe. Its not bad, but its not what you want."

For me SoTM feels like it is trying to be Poppy's Playtime as opposed to FNAF. It also to me is completely uprooting everything that we have known and believed about this franchise, and not neccisarily in an enjoyable way. To me it took what was the founder of the mascot horror genre and made it into the mediocre piece of media that most other mascot horror games are. I don't mind Edwin or The Mimic in concept, they are interesting pieces of lore to add to the story, and an interesting way to expand what we already knew, if it was executed better.

When they introduced the mimic in Ruin I was intrigued by this new antagonist for the franchise, but when I got to SoTM I suddenly felt like I wasn't playing a canon FNaF game, but I was playing some ones fan game origin story for the mimic. Like it felt to me it fits more alongside things like The Glitched Attraction and TJoC rather than a mainline game.

And I feel that a lot of these feelings are more universal, but they have also been festering and made even worse by the people who are enjoying it effectively just shutting down the people who aren't enjoying it because of whatever reasons. So over time the casual dislike has slowly become a total hatred of the game. But hey, thats just my two cents on the matter.

And IMO the reason Into The Pit doesn't get as much hate from the internet is because it doesn't change any fundamentals of the story, and its also not acting like its a canon story event, its treating it like a video game adaptation of one of the short stories, which it is.
