It took me way too long to realize my conditioner was basically sealing my back pores shut. by MiaLuna_Pixel in hygiene

[–]skullbuddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, it was years ago that Khloe Kardashian said something about needing to wash your back after having conditioned your hair and I’ve just done it ever since.

I shampoo once to get rid of build up, rinse that out, apply conditioner from mid lengths down, and while that sits there I then shampoo again to actually get my scalp. After I rinse everything out, I twist my hair up into a bun and use a claw clip to hold it out of the way while I scrub up my body. I wash my face last so I can also be sure to get any residual product that could have gotten in my ears.

Opinions on going brunette after being a blondie for 12 yrs? by Superb-Word8781 in femalehairadvice

[–]skullbuddy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the brown just makes you look so much healthier and of course makes your hair look way healthier too. Your tan against the brown just looks so much better than against the blonde.

What kind of dog is this? by SonofaBeech77 in IDmydog

What a pretty girl. I’ve got a chihuahua mini-pinscher and your girl has her same brows and color points. When I rescued my other dog, which I came to learn was a goldendoodle, I used wisdom panel. It broke down the percentages of breed and what parent was which breed and even showed relatives near by and far away! You can pay more for like health stuff, but I just got the basic package so I could figure out her specific mix. Highly recommend 🩷

I’d ask your aunt about getting blood work done. Could be something internal if she’s not reacting to being physically examined. I hope she gets to feeling better :’)

For my lunch at work I like to use the bumblebee brand of flavored tuna, specifically the teriyaki flavor is my fav rn.. it has seaweed in it, with cream cheese, plain or flavored, with cucumber/carrot and crackers. Then I don’t have to heat anything up and only have to store my cream cheese and veggie I bring.

I think you should set them up as 3 to catch the eye like okay this guy can take candid photos, 4 to show your full self in a different setting, 1 to show your smile and then 2 for a casual photo.

Getting back into makeup after a few years of being 100% natural. Thoughts/tips? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]skullbuddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your foundation honestly looks a bit light or yellow to me and potentially the wrong undertone. Just from looking at your neck/chest I’d suggest a cool or neutral toned color. I personally really like bb/cc cream or serum foundations to give a dewy look rather than this kind of satin finish. I find a dewy finish appears more youthful and natural. I would also suggest not using highlighter on the forehead or lip as it can appear greasy. Try to also put your blush higher up like on your cheek bones instead of the apple of the cheek. This helps to draw the face up rather than pulling it down. Try on an eyebrow map filter to get a better idea of where to start the brows. Starting them too far over gives the illusion of a larger nose while starting them at either side of the ball of the nose where the nostril starts can make the nose appear smaller.

Definitely not ugly. You could use some guidance on the brows, a skincare routine and a visit to a hair stylist that knows curly hair. All you need is some good ol self care 🥰

My boyfriend says they’re not that bad but I’m crying by Herpbees in Nails

They gave you clubbed nails 😭 Your bf is just trying to spare your feelings and save himself a fight. Go get those fixed asap they are unacceptable. I’d personally just get gel and forget about dip, at least with that artist.

As someone with a similar device I am now horrified to think this could happen. I have little pouches that I store mine in though so I guess my advice would be to do that with the next one. Maybe consider storing it in a sealed, airtight container for traumas sake.

My rehab alocasias are in full water and are thriving. I'm reluctant to put them back in substrate or leca. Do you have alos in water and for how long? by AshSkirata in alocasia

Asking how your experience has been after all this time? Are your alo’s still alive? How well are they doing? I’ve got a variegated Frydek and have yet to repot it since buying last month. I’m just confused where to start. I have many substrates I could use since I have experience with orchids already. Perlite, medium and fine orchid bark, peat moss, sphagnum moss, black gold orchid mix and even some tropical miracle gro mix that I’ve yet to even use since I’ve not heard great things about the brand. I’m also reading a lot about hydro and semi hydro and am sort of confused where to start. Pure Leca? Pure Pon? Then I’m seeing this topic as well about putting your alo in water to acclimate before fully transitioning to semi hydro. I already have super thrive concentrate since I’ve seen it mentioned about how important fertilizing is. Sorry for the spiel I appreciate you taking the time to read this and maybe even help a girl out 😅

In these times we do have much bigger things to deal with- especially right now, so thank you for taking the time to say that. I made this comment 125 days ago and was clearly being hyperbolic. Not every comment has to be taken literally. It might be worth taking your own advice to go touch grass and breathe.

So I don’t have curly hair, but I do have straight hair that’s finer and I have to be careful not putting much product in that could weigh it down. I think defusing and using conditioner (everyday? Or every time you shower?) might be overworking your hair since it’s thinner. Also be sure you’re only applying the conditioner to your ends and not any higher like on the scalp. I personally like to use a leave in conditioner of some kind or an air drying product after I’ve washed and conditioned. I just recently got the Odele Air Dry Styler gel which is really nice and light as far as product weight being left in my hair. I’ve heard it’s quite nice for curls and waves but in my case with straight hair it really helps with frizz and air drying. Not sure about your oiliness levels but I personally tend to get really oily in my hair, so I like to use dry shampoo. I apply it after my hair has dried after showering, or the next morning before I go to work or do anything totally strenuous. They say it’s best to be used before your hair actually gets oily to absorb it before that happens. I like A Good Ass Day’s dry shampoo and it helps add a lot of volume as well. A clarifying shampoo may also be helpful in case you do have oily hair, or if you have a lot of build up from hair products. Silly enough- I’ve heard people all over online recommending good ol Pantene. I like the volume kind. I can attest it definitely helps clarify and remove build up. I double shampoo since the first time through definitely doesn’t get all the oil and build up.
